Police are searching for 13-year-old Hayden who has been reported missing from Horsham. Hayden is described as 5’4 and could be wearing a balk Trackstar tracksuit. I don’t even know where to begin. 😭🖤 Yesterday, inside Clarence House, I became the first ever recipient of the Queen’s Reading Room Medal @queensreadingroom and was named the UK’s National Reading Hero.  I’m still taking it in.😭

The evening brought together some of the literary world's most celebrated voices whose commitment has helped the charity reach book lovers in more than 180 countries. 🏅 Her Majesty presented the inaugural medals to two outstanding Reading Heroes. The National Reading Hero Medal was awarded to Selina Brown, founder of the Black British Book Festival — Europe's largest celebration of Black literature. The Local Reading Hero Medal was awarded to Liz Waterland, in recognition of her dedication to Deepings Community Library in Lincolnshire. Their Majesties also met finalists whose work reflects the remarkable breadth of effort to make reading accessible to all.

Hi Jean, We all love Alison but cannot expect her give up two years of her life that is average cycle of making an album to release date to find that she’s up against radio programmers that want k-pop, where her music will face challenges get playlisted, to get media support. Without these no matter how great record, an album taken 2 years of work and financial cost can disappear in a week. That’s the reality of streaming music. Not like 80’s when it was physical record sales and Alison had a major record label & budgets to promote her albums. We are lucky that Alison produced such a brilliant diverse back catalogue with her finest recordings and performances, like acoustic Whispering. Nothing to stop Alison continue to tour, next year #Hometime turns 25. X

Celebrating 25 years of @EdenProject 🌿🎊 The King and Queen have visited the Eden Project and officially opened their new ‘marble run’. Their Majesties also met staff and gardeners to hear about wildflower habitat restoration and human connection with nature. They then joined a celebratory Big Lunch to meet local volunteers and supporters who will be sharing friendship, food and exploring volunteer activities ahead of the upcoming Big Lunch and Big Help Out weekend on 5th – 8th June.

This monster should be in prison for the rest of his life. Chukwuemeka Ahanonu from Peckham was driving incredibly recklessly around Leicester in June 2025. He overturned the car. Nila Patel, a mother of two, saw the accident and got off the bus to help. Ahanonu grabbed her from behind, punched her in the face so she fell to the floor and then continued to stamp on her and kick her, leaving her with brain damage. She died two days later. This man should never have been on the streets. In June 2023 he was given a suspended sentence after being found guilty of supplying drugs. His car was stopped in September 2023 and he was found to have drugs and a machete in his car. He was jailed for 24 months but was let out after less than a year. When he was interviewed by the police he is seen laughing about the event. He has led an appalling life, claiming Universal Credit while running a drugs operation that brought him £10k per month. He has been found guilty of murder and sentenced to 21.5 years. Let’s see how long he actually serves.

Ps. I do think you should consider a #Singles2 collection drawing only from your independent years 2002 onwards. There are so many great songs that would introduce casual listener to later albums plus fans would love it. I know I would rush out to buy it. Your career didn’t end in 90’s best work deserves be showcased x

@DRyan2013 To be honest, David, I don’t know. I’m as likely to jack it in. Very hard to get new music platformed especially at my age. It’s a huge amount of work for a vanishingly small window. I lack ambition and have seriously tired of the companion snark. X
