This is probably the trade in all honesty. I don’t even like Stramel but 1st and Stramel has to be the foundation. Yurov is now a must too. Guerin’s on the clock with Hughes’ contract. I can see a cap dump going back to NY too.

Ek and trochek down the middle would have gotten them as far with a better showing and a better chance to win this series Would have done a lot for them. I know stramel isn’t this high end prospect. But I’d gladly take stramel or Benak or heidt or haight or Ryder Ritchie Any 2 of them plus a 2027 first for Vinny and a contract dump. Trenin or whatever. I’d gladly take a contract dump to help them clear space. And add a young skater back like Edstrom or something Getting stramel and Ritchie. Or even Heidt and Ritchie plus draft compensation would be a huge win. Difficult to pull off but that would be the home run type move

Not until reporters dragged it into the light. “Innocent” is a word you use for a kid who didn’t know what was happening. Altuve knew. He profited. He stayed quiet. Altuve let the entire sport eat the consequences while he kept the trophies. I don’t think he gets enough criticism for it. He’s still likely to get into the HOF. I don’t think any player, manager or coach from the 2017 Astros should be allowed to even buy a ticket to the HOF, let alone get inducted into it.

Not to sound like a shill But I just think trochek is one of the most under rated and under valued players in the league from a fan standpoint A lot of ranger fans hated the Vinny signing And now we’re seeing tons of fans of other teams crapping on him And we’re also seeing fans say things like “ we can get a way better player for that package”, when that hypothetical player didn’t actually exist. There really isn’t this crazy great market of available centers. And if your second best center is Ryan Hartman or Andrew copp .. your GM is probably chomping at the bits to get someone like Vinny - which there is only one Vinny available lol
