The 3rd edition of the #CIDECODE Cybercrime Investigation Summit 2026 successfully concluded in Bengaluru, organised by the Centre for Cybercrime Investigation Training and Research (#CCITR), (@CybercrimeCID) brought together leading voices from law enforcement, cybersecurity, and digital forensics. The summit was inaugurated by Dr. G. Parameshwara, Hon’ble Home Minister, Government of Karnataka (@DrParameshwara) in the presence of Dr M A Saleem IPS, Director General & Inspector General of Police, Karnataka State (@masaleemips); Dr Pronab Mohanty, Director General of Police, Cyber Command, Karnataka (@DgpKarnataka); Sri Sunil Kumar D., Trustee, Infosys Foundation, and Sri @godvinayak, Chief Executive Officer, Data Security Council of India. The summit convened 246 delegates from law enforcement agencies across India, along with global experts, to deliberate on emerging cybercrime trends and investigative challenges. The summit featured expert-led sessions addressing a wide range of emerging themes in cybercrime investigation, including the admissibility of blockchain evidence in courts, the complexities of cross-border digital evidence trails, deepfake detection in the age of artificial intelligence, evolving challenges in mobile evidence investigation, and the growing role of OSINT techniques in the era of AI-driven intelligence gathering. A key highlight was the Crypto Forensics Hands-on Workshop, where investigators gained practical exposure to tracing cryptocurrency transactions and simulating digital asset seizure using blockchain investigation tools.
