Finally! I pulled myself together to start creating shader i want for the skin. I thought i'll do it 100 times and quit because thats how I am but I've managed to do it fast and I like it! The roughness differs on strokes so as the slapped colors. TODO: Female skin shader and Unreal test, want to add some SSS and see how it goes. #UE5 #CharacterDesign #IndieDev #Disquiet

@mumpitzgames Funny, but statistically spamming fast short games indeed brings more money than spending a lot of time for your one passion project. It's just different devs are in gamedev for different reasons.

I haven't had much time to open Unreal lately, so I'm spending what little time I have on brainstorming. This is the first design I've made, and I can already see things I want to change lol. @DSQT_Dev Quest logs always look simple until you're on your 40th layout tweak. We feel that. Keep posting the messy progress, it's the realest kind.

I should post more progress but I suck at presentation. I was able to do some placeholder menu and quests registring in the quest log. But i could feel it will cause a lot of tweaking on the long run. *Sigh* #UE5 #IndieDev #GameDev

Co-created this web dialogue editor with Claude — nodes handle choices, emotions map directly to character morphs, and everything bakes straight into Unreal. I came into gamedev as a 3D artist, so code and Blueprints are still a massive challenge for me. AI is a controversial topic, but thanks to it, I’m learning miles faster.
