Our main objectives on the GBV trainings was to engage communities and stakeholders on their role of maintaining effective GBV Referral Pathways, to understand the importance of GBV multi-sectorial coordination, Identify gaps in GBV response and to improve GBV Response networks.

The GBV Referral Pathways training was organized by DSU/BRA to mobilize complementary action by all stakeholders in the effective Referral Pathways of GBV response in Benadir region particularly the areas where IDPs and Poor hosted Communities are abundant.

The mission of the BRA Youth Fellowship program is to help transform young people’s lives through skills development and employment in addition, ensure that every young person who is certified through our programs is employed.

The purpose of the BRA Youth Fellowship program, is to provide opportunities for young people (18-24) to develop practical skills, explore career options, build self-confidence and prepare them to enter the workforce.

Phase I of the Hiliwaa Housing - The instillation of the water infrastructure has now been completed. The Housing Scheme is the 1st community housing built since the collapse of the state in ‘91 @IOM_Somalia @FCDOGovUK @EU_in_Somalia

The medical care campaign consists of three sections. Screening for Covid19 related symptoms and supporting referral processes, provision of essential care and providing vitamins, antipyretics, nutritional supplements and awareness campaigns to prevent spread of infections.

Our health team has been conducting health needs assessments and data gathering since the second wave of Covid19. Over 800,000 IDPs face additional vulnerabilities that puts them at higher risks.

The social safety net cash transfer project also aims to generate information on the feasibility, cost effectiveness and effect of the cash transfers. The primary objective is to improve access to basic needs. @MunicipalityMog @WFPSomalia

The social safety net cash assistance is an unconditional cash transfer that was dispersing an unconditional cash transfer of US$35 per month over a period of 12 months to 1,000 urban poor and IDP households in Garasbalay and Hodon districts. @WFPSomalia @MunicipalityMog

Durable Solution Unit Somalia initiated a comprehensive response to Housing, land and property-related challenges. This resulted in BRA and NRC undertaking several operational activities and jointly coordinating them. #Mogadishu @MunicipalityMog @EU_in_Somalia

We look forward to launching employment support to assist youth gain employable skills and match them with employers looking for talented workers.

Our Youth fellowship program focuses on the service provision, employment creation, social cohesion, economic recovery and upgrading the living conditions in urban environments of the community effected by displacement @EU_in_Somalia @MunicipalityMog @UNDPSomalia
