"The ratification of ILO Conventions 189 and 190 is not merely a legal step; it is a statement of our commitment to transforming the labour market in Kenya. It reflects our vision of workplaces that are fair, inclusive, and resilient, where every worker, including those in the informal sector and domestic workers, is protected, valued, and treated with dignity. This is a milestone in advancing decent work, promoting gender equality, and ensuring safe and harassment-free environments for all." – State Department for Labour and Skills Development, PS Shadrack Mwadime, during the Nairobi public participation on the ratification of ILO Conventions 189 & 190.

Image-based abuse doesn’t end when the image is shared. For many survivors, the harm continues long after through anxiety, loss of trust, and the fear that the image could resurface anytime.
Online abuse has real-life consequences. And as a survivor, you have the right to report such cases and challenge the culture that enables this harm. #reportonlineabuse #DigitalSafety #EndOnlineAbuse

For many persons with disabilities, the internet is an essential space for communication, education, work, and community building. Yet this increased online presence can also increase exposure to cyberbullying and other forms of abuse.
In some cases, perpetrators assume that persons with disabilities are less likely to report abuse or be taken seriously. At the same time, many incidents go unreported. Some individuals may not recognize online harassment as cyberbullying, while others face barriers because reporting tools are not always accessible to all users with disabilities.
Creating safer digital spaces means addressing these barriers, strengthening accessible reporting systems, and promoting respect and inclusion online. #ReportCyberBulling #StopCyberbullying #CyberSafety

Doxxing is not merely a violation of privacy; it can pose a serious safety and human rights risk for persons with disabilities. When personal information is exposed without consent, it can be used to intimidate disability advocates, exploit existing vulnerabilities, and discourage persons with disabilities from participating in public and digital spaces.
In this way, doxxing can silence voices, undermine advocacy, and restrict the right of persons with disabilities to engage safely and equally in public life. #StopDoxxing #ReportDoxxing #DigitalSafety

Progress does not happen because barriers disappear on their own.
It happens because people choose to challenge them.
@Sandra_Nyawira1 refuses to accept limits placed on women with disabilities.
“I navigate darkness with courage, rewrite limits daily, and claim spaces where barriers once stood.”
Her story is powerful but real change requires more than inspiration.
It requires people who are willing to listen, share, and advocate for inclusion. #UnstoppableWoman #IWD2026

Is your voice left out when it comes to decisions about your own life?
Article 12 of the CRPD affirms the equal right of persons with disabilities to legal capacity to make decisions and have those decisions respected. Yet, many persons with psychosocial disabilities continue to be denied this fundamental right.
TCI Global is launching a new global survey on legal capacity to understand how systems around the world support or fail to support our decision-making rights.
If you are a person with a psychosocial disability, a family member, a self-advocate, or part of an OPD, we want to hear from you!
Your voice matters. This global survey is aimed at understanding the real-life experiences of people with psychosocial disabilities related to legal capacity and decision-making.
Support TCI Advocacy works by filling out our global survey: surveymonkey.com/r/tcisurvey
