A quick research excursion to @OSThornhill for some S4 @WallaceHallSch Design & Manufacture students this afternoon, aiming to design some new furniture for this great local initiative 👍

We've been quiet for a few days, getting work ready for eager at home learners and juggling a few other things. Here's one of them that the whole of @WallaceHallSch have been involved with.... youtube.com/watch?v=j_FvaN…

To date, over 1500 visors have been completed and sent out to the NHS through DGRI, Thornhill Hospital, all of our Community Nurses, and a number of GP surgeries. Wallace Hall have also supplied a few hundred to nursing and residential homes across the region.

Was busy in D&T this week, and probably over the holiday period too! Real life 'Design & Manufacture' - designed & created visors using our laser cutter for local NHS workers in this time of need. Mr Dawson from Physics was a big help too. @WallaceHallSch

Given Friday’s further restrictions on social distancing we need to take more action to keep numbers in schools to an absolute minimum. S4-6 pupils SHOULD NOT attend school to complete coursework. @sqanews supports this. Grateful to all schools for their support to young people.
