Today, the last displaced family left the @UNRWA shelters in Lebanon. Heartfelt thanks to all colleagues and partners who stood by displaced families with care and support when it was needed most. We hope stability and peace will prevail.

.@UNRWA has successfully concluded the 2025/26 school year in Lebanon. Final exams were completed across all schools, with strong participation despite challenges. Average participation was 97% for in person classes and 89% where education was moved to online due to the conflict.

.@UNRWA is distributing food parcels in three #PalestineRefugee camps in South Lebanon, reaching more than 28,000 people. Food security has deteriorated as essential supplies have become increasingly unavailable, unaffordable and inaccessible.

The main @UNRWA shelter received 40 families last night and 50 new arrivals today, now hosting 1,579 displaced people. Among them are 58 persons with disabilities and 213 people living with chronic illnesses requiring special care and continuous medical support.

Football day at a @UNRWA emergency shelter: a mixed team of Syrian, Palestinian and Lebanese displaced residents faced off against UNRWA staff — final score 6–8. Moments like these reflect the inclusivity UNRWA strives to foster across its shelters.

Met with Minister of Culture Ghassan Salamé together with Ambassador Ramez Demashkieh/LPDC to discuss the completion of Nahr El Bared camp reconstruction while ensuring the protection of national heritage and important archaeological sites.

Presented to partners the findings of the Nahr El Bared camp socio-economic value chain analysis with Dr. Sami Nader of USJ. The study identified investment opportunities to create shared economic benefits for youth and women in the camp and surrounding municipalities.

Honoured to meet Chinese Ambassador to Lebanon Chen Chuandong, briefing on #PalestineRefugees in 🇱🇧, @UNRWA’s work and challenges, and exploring ways to strengthen humanitarian & development support.

#PalestineRefugee students returned to @UNRWA schools in most parts of Lebanon today, except campuses still hosting displaced families or needing repairs. Little ones are so eager to be back in the classroom — a hopeful sign and a reminder of how much school matters
