But first... who are they wearing? 👀 The UK's largest ever delegation heads to Singapore for the IISS Shangri-La Dialogue. 🇬🇧🇸🇬 Ahead of the weekend, we caught some of them and interrogated their uniforms. Stay tuned for updates throughout the Dialogue.

@Peter42321247 @KeittKooken @barrowboy78 No, you see you didn’t. You said “Right and the royal cucks weren’t banned from European stadiums”. You really should be clearer and know your weren’t from your were, you insufferable fuckwit.

@RayMairead @DazzCrowley The driver pays an emissions fee, not road tax. General taxation pays for roads. And cars don’t pay anything, because they’re cars.

@DWD606C @KeittKooken @barrowboy78 So every stadium doesn’t have an away section to isolate those fans because the Brit’s are too emotional and barbaric to handle having a fan of the other team beside them?

🚨 HOLY CRAP! President Trump is now CUTTING OFF all trade with Spain after their leftist PM said to not use bases in their country to strike Iran "Spain has absolutely nothing we need...we're gonna cut off ALL TRADE with Spain. We don't want ANYTHING to do with Spain." FAFO!🔥

@OnDisasters I used to work at the London Air Traffic Control Centre at West Drayton, around 2 miles north of Heathrow as the crow flies. We always knew when Concorde was taking off by the distant rumble and ripples appearing on the top of our coffee.

@GinieSigonney Mayday is used in all countries, whereas Pan is used in every country with the exception of China. But do you know why that is?

Origin of “Mayday” 🇫🇷✈️ •Mayday is the international distress call used in aviation and maritime communications. •The word comes from the French “m’aidez” (meaning “help me”). •It was chosen because it is short, clear, and easily understood by both French- and English-speaking radio operators. •The term was standardized in the early 1920s, largely credited to Frederick Stanley Mockford, a British radio officer at Croydon Airport in London. •It is spoken three times (“Mayday, Mayday, Mayday”) to ensure clarity. •It indicates immediate danger to life. ⸻ Origin of “Pan-Pan” 🇫🇷✈️ •Pan-Pan is the international urgency signal, less severe than Mayday. •Yes, it has a similar origin logic to Mayday. •The term comes from the French word “panne”, meaning a breakdown or malfunction. •It was adopted for the same reasons: clarity, brevity, and international recognizability over radio. •Like Mayday, it is repeated three times (“Pan-Pan, Pan-Pan, Pan-Pan”). •It indicates a serious situation that is not immediately life-threatening. 🎥©️ “SULLY”

@DWD606C @Birdseed501 In ‘83 BA launched Super Shuttle on the LHR/Glasgow route with 3 Concorde aircraft. I have a photograph of all 3 aircraft parked at the head of the domestic pier in Glasgow. Out went ticketing on board and in came hot breakfast etc…A much improved level of customer service.

Launch of the BA Shuttle LHR-GLA (1975). Services to BFS followed (1976), EDI (1977) & MAN (1979). Pay on board, guaranteed seat, back-up a/c (usually a BAC 1-11) standing by. Revolutionary then, but while the callsigns remain on the routes the concept disappeared long ago.

@Reunify32 Couldn’t give a damn what the population of ‘Southern Ireland’ thinks. When the majority of folks in Northern Ireland want to move on, they can do. That’s democracy.

@DWD606C @IrishPropaganda Nighty night. When you wake up in the morning the empire will still be gone and Ireland will not be in the British Isles all over again. You'll get used to it.

All these posts about England and Scotland qualifying directly and then mentioning Wales, the North and Ireland? Why mention us? We’ve absolutely nothing to do with the UK… If you mention Ireland, you may as well mention Bosnia or Poland Ireland is Ireland 🇮🇪
