गोमुख में गंगा के ऊपर भी बहती हैं एक और गंगा। जिसका नाम है आकाश गंगा। उत्तराखंड के उत्तरकाशी जिले के गंगोत्री क्षेत्र में स्थित है शिवलिंग पर्वत जिसकी ऊँचाई 6,543 मीटर है। इसी शिवलिंग पर्वत की तलहटी से आकाश गंगा नदी का उद्गम स्थल है जो तपोवन के मैदान से बहती हुई गंगोत्री ग्लेशियर में समा जाती है। रात में आकाश गंगा का अत्यंत स्पष्ट और विहंगम दृश्य दिखाई देता है। आकाश गंगा तपोवन में कार्तिक पूर्णिमा के दिन स्पष्ट झलक के साथ अति अद्भुत, आलौकिक भव्य और दिव्य स्वरूप में दिखती हैं।। शिवलिंग पर्वत गंगोत्री हिमनद के मुहाने (Gaumukh) के पास स्थित है, जिसे माँ गंगा का उद्गम स्थल माना जाता है। तपोवन में शांत बहने के बाद तेज ढलान में कुछ इस तरह से उतरती हैं आकाश गंगा जिसे पार कर पहुंचते है लोग तपोवन। @cleanganganmcg

The missile was flight tested with Multiple payloads, targeted to different targets spatially distributed over a large geographical area in Indian Ocean Region.
