@PastorSteve Not until the Rapture/resurrection of the Church.
English

@DrAlanKurschner Isaiah would be describing the Millennium at that point.

I understand that this makes many academics nervous who do not like the idea of mortals and immortals intermingling.
I can confirm the prophetic idiom without denying its point.
For example, the following idiom, while showing that there is "aging" during the new earth, makes the point that mortals will not live short lives:
“anyone who fails to reach the age of one hundred will be considered cursed.” (Isa 65:20)
It is strained to make the idiom say that "NOBODY" will age.

@DrAlanKurschner @Charles49560942 Alan, the text doesn’t “indicate” death in the new creation unless you assume a wooden, literal reading of prophetic idiom. That’s the very point in dispute. Allow me to explain…

@johnspe47786041 @DrAlanKurschner I dont go external links etc.
Just state your claims.
English

@D_Boyer69 @DrAlanKurschner You’re both wrong, but go read Is. 65 & 66. Then tell me what you think about the NH & NE

Contrary to popular thought, the Bible never teaches that there is no death during the New Heavens and New Earth.
New Creation Premillennialism teaches that the New Heavens, New Earth, and New Jerusalem are established DURING the millennium.
Get Janet Willis's book to learn more: What on Earth Is Heaven Like?: The New Creation and the New Jerusalem.
Or get Robert Van Kampen's book The Sign:

“For look, I am ready to create new heavens and a new earth! The former ones will not be remembered; no one will think about them anymore.
But be happy and rejoice forevermore over what I am about to create! For look, I am ready to create Jerusalem to be a source of joy, and her people to be a source of happiness.
Jerusalem will bring me joy, and my people will bring me happiness. The sound of weeping or cries of sorrow will never be heard in her again.
Never again will one of her infants live just a few days or an old man die before his time. Indeed, no one will die before the age of one hundred; anyone who fails to reach the age of one hundred will be considered cursed.” (Isa 65:17–20)

@RealBrysonGray I am not a Jew though... so ham is back on the menu.

@ProvisionistP I see you didn't read what I posted.
If you say X and the truth is not X... I will conclude you are lying.
English

@D_Boyer69 nah bro
people make wrong "declarative" statements all the time and aren't "lying".
There must be intention to deceive.
English

@forestfrank That He will come back to us so we can be together.
English

@ProvisionistP Yes.
Complete the logical equation better.
Innocent of personal sin would be the correct conclusion.
English

@D_Boyer69 So you reject the fourth premise?
English

@forestfrank Rev 3:10... yes God will allow some to die before the time of testing. Remember that this passage is to a weak church that has done little because of their lack of strength. This church would fear falling away during tribulation. So God allows them a natural exit.
English

@Sola_Requiem So... they can make mistakes too.
And yet Paul refers to it as a method in Gal 1:8.
English

@D_Boyer69 Incorrect. None of the reformers or post reformers referred to or treated Sola Scriptura as a “method” they all referred to it as a doctrine/dogma of the faith. The idea of Sola Scriptura being a “method” came about in the 1950’s by evangelical theologians.

@BGatesIsaPyscho Have you never talked on a phone over a radio relay before?
Oh to be young again.
English

@JesusisChristX If you have ever bumped you toes on a rock then this passage is not about you.
12They shall bear thee up in their hands,
Lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
