Low carb usually fail long term in two basic ways: 1) Someone simply quits. Always talks about "Should get back on low carb" while eating a donut. 2) Cheat every weekend and gorge more than they would have previously, negating any benefit from it throughout the week.

So Ray Peating eating style is just kind of "Eat many carbs, be stress free, maybe not so much fat, avoid seed oils, snack and break up your meals?"

@Kshi_nippon Nah. We have egg and some fresh veggie stands here on Texas. Usually with a Venmo or Cashapp QR code.

One thing many foreigners find unbelievable about Japan 🇯🇵 In some rural areas, people sell vegetables through unmanned stands. No staff. No security guard. You simply take what you want and leave the money behind. And somehow… it often works. Could this exist in your country?

@TheShreddington I just know it's $100 or more per visit for me. I've had to find alternate sources.

My insurance company will no longer pay for tadalafil beyond twelve pills every seventy nine days. Regardless of how the medication is prescribed. Out of pocket cost for one hundred and twenty pills…$27.65. Massive bargain for a wonderful longevity medication. Zero reason to use the grey market for this particular Rx.

@JamesMac_Fit Do you have a good outdoor space? Make it attractive to kids. A relaxing area out of the heat. They'll need a drink beyond the hose. Availability of healthy carbs. Different speeds of activity. Swings basketball, chalk area? Indoors- drawing stuff, books they'll read, etc.

Dads... I need your advice. As a young dad myself, I’m genuinely worried about my son growing up addicted to screens, phones, games, etc. It feels like EVERYTHING is designed to grab their attention these days. So I want to ask: - How do you actually manage screen time in your house? - What’s worked for you? - What’s failed? Would appreciate real answers from people who’ve been there 🤝

I resisted yesterday. I'm glad I did. They would have been delicious. But the feeling afterward isn't worth it.

I keep finding low testosterone in younger men. Not “fatties” either. Normal young men who are active and hit the gym. It might be all Baader-Meinhof phenomenon as we have recent data that appears to show no drops in population testosterone levels and maybe it’s going up!! Also. No one cones my way in their 20s if they think they are fine. But it just seems odd to me. Every time I check someone wanting to get checked. It’s low. I would have assumed prior to this that a decent sized chunk of 20s year old men would be really fine by testosterone levels. I’d be able to reassure them and have them go with God. Now. Can you game the labs if you know what you’re doing? Sure. But I don’t actually suspect that. You can tell when someone is trying to be slick the vast majority of the time. But it’s not impossible to fool me. Could all of these guys clearly dial in sleep and diet better? Almost all of them. And also YES. I’m paying attention to the pituitary signals and prolactin and have found a prolactinoma this way. (Not sure if most clinics are even thinking about this). I am a patterns guy. It’s just the way my brain organizes. But man. It sure does seem like there is something going on with some of these young guys. Idk.

It's easy to use kids as an excuse to be a loser and live automated rather than with intentionality. I've been guilty before. An excuse to neglect health, to not leave the house, take risks, or go spend money on experiences with them. Some people barely leave the house. Kids have to learn to live in this world, with God's help. Show them what it means to trust in God with MOVEMENT. Brother, life is risky. Don't use kids as an excuse to have paralysis by analysis. What if we said: "Kids are my REASON." My kids are my REASON to go do things. ...my REASON to work out at 6 AM. ...my REASON to leave the house and intentionally choose activities that benefit. Kids are my REASON to take risks, spend money on certain things I wouldn't otherwise. Kids aren't my excuse to not do things. My kids are the REASON I live intentionally rather than automated, leaving life to chance. I DO things, because they're my reason. Kids are not an excuse to be a loser or analze everything and never take action.

These 2 images of @thedankoe are 3 years apart. If you care about premature aging, you should probably be restricting adderall/stimulant usage

@toro__training Agreed, as an Elementary music teacher. Literally the most extroverted teaching position possible. Maybe even more than theatre.

As a personal trainer, people assume I am naturally super extroverted because my job is literally talking to people all day. And while I genuinely enjoy coaching and building relationships most people don’t realize how much social energy that takes out of me. I average about 5 sessions per day, that means days of 6 and 7. That’s a lot of reading people’s energy and body language, carrying conversations, solving problems… So I normally skip events and choose quiet. Some people recharge in crowds. Some recharge in silence. I like training alone, going on walks, watching videos, reading a book, eating in peace, and just existing without needing to perform socially for a few hours.
Richard@PGC1a_RB

@BowTiedFawn I like being a homebody "Are you busy on this day?" Yes, I am busy being anti-social to recharge

I see these neighborhoods being built in Texas and I’m trying to figure out who in their right mind would buy a mansion with zero lot lines. Like, you could do a handshake through your kitchen window. Insane! Please make it make sense.

Most people overthink fitness & health when getting started. People need to start adding movement of any sort. It really doesn't matter. Over time they'll figure the details as they go.
