What is your basis for thinking the nets wouldn't have to give up something similar? By all accounts, teams were not willing to trade top picks last year unless it was an overpay.

When did I ever say that?😂 I literally said “I would have given up the 8th pick, Cam Johnson, Claxton, the 26th pick, the 27th pick, and a Knicks pick to get the 2nd pick”. My point is we should have given up significant assets to move up in the draft and get a top 3 pick. It’s worth it and would’ve put the team in a better position. I rather have Harper or Edgecombe or even Ace/Knueppel on the team over MPJ and Egor🤷🏾‍♂️ You have to give up smt to get smt. And we have the assets to make that kind of move and still have good assets leftover. And I don’t think we would’ve had to give up our 2026 pick to get it done because we already had the 8th pick as an asset plus a bunch of other picks in 2025 and beyond

You were attacking the point that he wanted to move up in the draft. I’m also arguing that we should’ve and it seems like you’re starting to agree lmao. And ik the Mavs weren’t trading the 1st pick and that’s why I left that out. But picks 2-5 might’ve been attainable and I’d take any of those prospects over what we have now. At the bare minimum more positional/skill diversity with the picks we did have.

Bro that’s the rate to go from outside of the lottery(23) to inside of the lottery(13). We had a pick in the lottery that we could’ve used to get a higher pick in the lottery. And deadass I would have given up the 8th pick, Cam Johnson, Claxton, the 26th pick, the 27th pick, and a Knicks pick to get the 2nd pick in the draft to get Harper. Would’ve done smt similar but slightly cheaper for Edgecombe too And the team would be much better off in that instance too

That was the going rate to move up last year, which is why marks didnt move up. So, would you have wanted to give up the 2026 pick to move up?
