@KreekCraft Finally someone isn’t glazing the Backrooms movie.

Obsession is a 10/10. 🔥 Best movie of the year so far. Backrooms… I did not like it. 😔 I can’t really explain why without spoiling parts of the movie. Maybe I’ll make a short video on here talking about it if people are interested. It just wasn’t for me.

The reason people in droves are hating on Backrooms is because it commits the most sinister of all movie sins: it wastes your time. There is no build up. There is no development. There is just vibes and sounds. This is what happens when you try and stretch a neat concept into a movie without any more development. Really talented actors are wasted on flat, single-dimensional characters that, try as they might, remain uninteresting and uninviting. The audience doesn't get enough information or time with any one person or thing to ever truly care about anything.

@TheREALMetricK @fanatic1205 Phenomenal box office because of hype and it’s iconic, not because it’s great. Some of the high reviews are also a result of people not knowing what good movies look like anymore, and just hype training. I’d give it at most a 6, which is not good imo.
