How people identify themselves or what they 'belong to' doesn't matter. Empires & borders changed throughout history, they were once Jewish then Roman then Muslims...etc but usually the 'people' don't get displaced and remain in the same land but adapt to different culture, empire, faith, language..etc. The american example is textbook definition of colonization, if you agree that Israel is just like the US then we actually agree on what it is (people coming from outside to a land that is inhabited by people who lived there for generations and taking it by force, aggression, displacement...etc), not merely 'managing it' or considering it part of their 'new borders' like Romans or Muslims did, but actually displacing its people as if they have no right to it and never existed in it People now realize that this is morally bad and unfair and shouldn't happen if we are trying to be good humans, and all the countries where this happened (America, Australia, New Zeeland..etc) actually recognize this mistake now, or at least act like they do and consider it unfair, and they recognized the indigenous people, gave them their rights, sometimes 'special rights' as reparations. Israel didn't do that, is still not recognizing their mistake and thinking this is 'their right', still occupying more lands and expanding settlements, still calling these indigenous people 'arab invaders' who should go to Arab or Muslim countries, and when people call it out, they think people are antisemites who only focus on Israel. Well, that's because Israel was very late to this unethical colonization mess and 'still' didn't recognize the indigenous people rights, maybe people will not focus on israel much when it does better in resolving this conflict and recognizing their mistake instead of justifying it, but appearently they aren't because they believe it was promised to them and 'only them' 3000 years ago although we can argue that Palestinians were promised too since they are the descendents of old Israelites based on DNA

The summit in London has begun. European and NATO leaders have gathered for a group photo.
