Mbappe does not have the IQ to play football “very” effectively without his speed. Calm, and don’t drag me yet. Do you know why Messi is still effective at his age despite being slower? It’s because he has learned how to play football without having to run too much. At some point, Mbappe’s speed will reduce, but he doesn’t have that much IQ to survive so much without it. On dead ball situations where he doesn’t have to run, just watch, he’s less effective. He can’t drop a mad line-breaking pass, he can’t wiggle around players. I mean, anything that doesn’t involve his speed, he’s less effective. Of course he’s done a lot without his speed, but he’s less potent, I hope you don’t misunderstand this part. Mbappe is deadliest on transition. Same with Barcola and Dembele. If a team is in shape, these guys are not effective, e.g Paraguay…you can also see the France team, they don’t intend to keep the ball, their only plan is to wait for you to lose it and they play it to those 4 guys, you are finished. Please listen to Thierry Henry. He said he was so quick and relied on his speed, a coach had to tell him at some point to play without his speed. This made him think more and play more with his brain. As Mbappe grows, his speed will slow down, he still has more than 10 years to play, and I hope he can learn that part where he can be effective without speed. Cristiano scored more after 30 years old when his speed had reduced. I hope you guys get my point, I know many will still misunderstand it.

France are not invincible. They haven’t just played proper technicians. No single serious team has played them. Cape Verde would have given them serious problem. They cannot control games, they only rely on those 4 attackers. They’ve met some serious technicians today, oya run now. Mbappe is zero on dead balls when every Spanish player is in position Dembele same Barcola only knows how to run, give him dead ball situations, he’ll disappear. They’re not technicians, they only RUN RUN RUN RUN, that’s why they’re dangerous in transitions.

If you're familiar with the World Cup, you'd recognize with the dominance that comes with every World Cup winning side. In 2002, Brazil had superstars like Ronald0, Ronaldinho, Roberto Carlos, Juninho and many other superstars in their prime. In 2006, Italy was so dominant both in club and international football. The Serie A was one of the best leagues at the time if not the best. And that squad produced some of the greatest defenders ever in the game like Maldini, Canavaro, Nesta and many other superstars. In 2010, Spain dominated football so much that they were seen as the greatest international team to ever exist. During that time, Barcelona were a dominant force in club football and since the Spanish national team constituted of mostly Barcelona players, the dominance translated. In 2014, Germany played like a typical prime Bayern Munich side. They were so ruthless. We saw players like Muller, Kross, Ozil, Neuer, Lahn and many other legendary players in their prime. That 7-1 victory over Brazil tells the whole story in a nutshell. In 2018, that French team looked inevitable. We had a young dangerous Kylian Mbappe, Varane, Griezmann, Pogba and Kante in their prime and superstars all over the place. In 2022, this whole pattern noticeably changed. An Argentinian side with average players won the World Cup. Only players like Messi and Di Maria were proven World class players at the time. We're talking about a 35 year old Messi. In as much as the team wasn't weak, they were so average compared to other World Cup winning sides. It also wasn't helped by the fact that Argentina recorded the most penalties ever in a single World Cup tournament by any nation ever throughout the 96 years history. This is just a harmless observation by a passionate football lover.

🇫🇷 Check out French pundit Daniel Riolo's immediate reaction to France's World Cup exit against Spain: "We put Olise on Zidane and Platini's table. He's not even in the kitchen." "Today, French football and the France team have taken a huge slap in the face."

@Footballtweet Comparing Michael Olise to French legends like Zinedine Zidane and Michel Platini sets an incredibly high bar. One poor match especially against a dominant Spain side doesn't erase Olise's quality or potential.
