The issue with bureaucrats is that they think money can magically solve any problem if enough of it is spent. It's usually not that simple.

It’s year 2026 and the Germans still don’t have fresh cut vegetables, ready made meals, or a decent ready made salad selection in their supermarkets. Almost everything ready-made is in the freezer. While I generally endorse the freezer over the refrigerator, the texture of almost everything is inferior out of the freezer.

Two people move to Germany. Same city. Same job. Same starting point. One struggles for years. One settles in within months. Same country. Completely different experience. The difference wasn't talent. It wasn't connections. It wasn't even language level. It was this: One person knew how Germany 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀. Not just the language – the 𝘴𝘺𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘮. The Anmeldung – registering your address. Without it, you cannot open a bank account. Without a bank account, you cannot receive a salary. Without a salary, nothing else moves. The Krankenversicherung – health insurance. Legally mandatory from day one. Not optional. Not something to sort out later. The Tarifvertrag – the collective wage agreement. Knowing it exists means knowing your rights before your employer assumes you don't. The Mietvertrag – the rental contract. Every clause matters. Germans read every clause. You should too. Language gets you in the door. Knowing the system keeps you in the room. Both matter. Most courses only teach you one.

@Daaneshwar @Porkchop_EXP Vacations are not that expensive, and people yearn to escape the every day struggle. Name a Western country where you can genuinely argue that the average person is not under economic struggle.

@Porkchop_EXP "Having children is a cultural issue." Its both, actually. There has been a culture shift, but the economics also matter. If the majority are under constant economic strain then no amount of financial aid will help fix this. You need the entire economy to prosper.

@Porkchop_EXP (I am from germany and i have 3 kids) The reason people my age remain childless is not financial, its simply that they all have a cozy double income lives and would much rather take 4 cool vacations a year than have kids. Its really that simple

It genuinely feels like we now live in two different countries. In one Britain, people drag themselves to work, pay eye‑watering taxes, National Insurance, council tax, energy bills, travel costs – and still stare at their bank balance wondering how they’re going to afford new shoes for the kids. In the other Britain, a growing army are parked on benefits with rising sickness and disability claims, pulling in combined payments that can beat a full‑time wage and then stacking extra perks, from cut‑price bills to leisure and lifestyle discounts, on top. The same government that says it is “cash‑strapped” and “tough choices” for services somehow finds endless billions for a welfare system its own Prime Minister now calls “unsustainable, indefensible and unfair” – but the only people expected to swallow it are the workers footing the bill. We pay. They benefit. That’s the deal. And it is ripping any sense of basic solidarity to shreds.

My wife collapsed in our hotel room in New York today “Call an ambulance, I can’t breathe” she was screaming My heart dropped If she ends up in an American hospital we are financially ruined I went on the Lufthansa app to book a flight back to Frankfurt, but unfortunately pilots are on strike today “Please I’m begging you” she was lying on the floor I sighed and called 911 She is now in surgery as apparently her appendix “almost burst” I am extremely scared This is going to cost us at least $100,000 She could have received much better care, for free, in Germany I will never visit this barbaric country ever again

The UK economy works like this: You go to school for 13 years to learn things you'll never use. You go to university for 3 years to qualify for a job you could have done at 18, racking up £50K of debt that gets deducted from your payslip for 30 years. You start work on £30K. After tax, NI, pension and student loan you take home around £1,900 a month. You spend £1,000 of that on rent for a room in someone else's house, £320 on bills, £220 getting to and from the job, and £280 trying to eat. You finish the month just about breaking even and start the next one already behind. You're 27 now. You'll do this for another 38 years.

Before the election, Giorgia Meloni called the plan to import 500K legal immigrants over three years a “planned invasion” and swore she would never allow it. She also promised to be a strong friend of both the United States and Israel. Now in power, she has just signed a decree admitting exactly 500K immigrants into Italy over the next three years, and has turned her back on America and Israel. So the question is simple: Did Giorgia Meloni change? Or was it all just a lie from the beginning? What do you think?
Yossi BenYakar tweet media
Yossi BenYakar@YossiBenYakar

x.com/RadioGenoa/sta… Giorgia Meloni is currently the most pathetic world leader. Nobody expected anything from Macron or Starmer, but Meloni actively lied to her voters. She ran on strong anti-mass migration promises, tough talk on Islamists, and defending Italian identity. Now in power, she’s doing the exact opposite: softening on immigration, suspending defense agreements with Israel under pressure, and surrendering to the globalist left. Why does this keep happening to the Right? They campaign like lions… and govern like lambs. Voters are getting tired of being betrayed the moment their leaders taste power. Meloni’s collapse is disappointing and predictable. What do you think — is the European Right still salvageable?
