Trump begged, grovelled and blustered to get the prize and when he didn’t, threatened Norway and extorted the winner into handing over her medal. Sandu has faced and triumphed over grim threats from Moscow with quiet fortitude and trust in her country’s European allies. Trump has repeatedly manufactured crises, solved nothing, acted as the world’s greatest victim and destroyed his country’s vital alliances. Sandu believes she is merely a humble servant of her people. Trump believes his people are his humble servants. If only “the world’s superpower” had a leader half as outstanding as Maia Sandu.

Romania does not shoot its own citizens in the streets. Romania does not imprison journalists simply for doing their job. In Romania, the president does not demand the withdrawal of a TV station’s license just because it criticizes him. Romania does not have pedophiles protected and promoted within the state administration. In Romania, it does not happen that the president’s family becomes richer by billions of dollars within a single year simply because a family member holds the highest office in the state, under the guise of alleged “gifts” or advantages that raise serious suspicions of bribery. In Romania, freedom of expression is guaranteed. It makes no sense for Șoșoacă and Simion (Romanian famous extremists to claim that “the intelligence services are shutting down their livestreams.” They have been present for years, every single day, on social media, on television panels, everywhere. We have absolutely NOTHING to learn from the Trump administration or from MAGA about democratic elections and democracy. Absolutely nothing. This so-called MAGA report from the U.S. House Judiciary Committee is about as credible as Donald Trump’s claims that the 2020 election was stolen. It was not stolen. Trump simply lost to a better candidate. Period.

What's happening in the US right now is very similar to what went down in Romania during past elections: people with six teeth staunchly defending folks with six yachts. There are some big differences, though: 1. In the US, the idiocrats actually won. 2. The US is being run by a pedo gang, while Romania is led by a brilliant mathematician. 3. The US has basically been taken over by Russia ever since its ruling politicians got blackmailed in what was probably the most successful kompromat operation in American history: the Epstein files.
