And it’s only about $ for the organizations and the people that run the tournaments. It’s def not for the development of the kids..

@JonRicca @FreeRangeKids Yes but the reality is nowhere near all the kids are good enough to play on a travel team and parents need to acknowledge their kid just isn’t good enough. It’s a parent problem as well as a money grab problem.

Putts all day. The make percentage of a 20 footer is very low. You don't really need to drive the ball 350. I hit driver a decent distance and often hit wedges to 15 feet, only to walk away with par, just like the guy who hit it 50 yards shorter than me and two putted from 25 ft. Making every 20 foot putt would be a game changer. Drive for show putt for dough.

This mother is catching some flack because she said she sits on the opposite side of the parents on her son’s baseball team. Looks like the outfield. She said she can’t stand the constant chatter and lingo - “Good eye!” , “You got a piece of it.!” , etc. and all the talk in the bleachers. Many put her down saying she is not a team player as a parent. But some others said they agreed with her. I am with her. I usually sat down the line on first or third base. I want to watch the game and not chatter all night and listen to moms and dads coach their kids from the stands. Or all the gossip. I totally get it. Do you understand where this momma is coming from and feel like she does or do you think it’s rude of her to disassociate with the other parents during the game?

I don’t agree with some of Rory says and think at times he talks out of both sides of his mouth.

@SportsCenter I remember back in my pin-setting days, we were admonished not to set one where a putt would accelerate as it passed the hole. Yeah, that was for duffers and members, but putts like that one bother me. No way to stop the ball unless you squarely hit the stick.
