This was either group suicide or murder. I've been diving for 30 years. Rescue and deep dive certified. These divers were effectively dead the moment they went in the water. At 150 feet, with recreational gear and without special gas mix, you're already dead. I'm an absolute madman adrenaline junkie. My hard floor is 120 feet. There was no possible way they were coming back, whether they panicked or not. That dive plan was never going to end with any of them alive.

@DadSam25 @BasedDongeezus @gczeus 100 pounds isn’t an excuse tho. Ronda doing this to Carano even if she was in her prime. Carano was never good to begin with.

@BasedDongeezus @gczeus I mean an entire plot line of this fight was Gina losing 100 lbs. Can't work on takedown defense when your doing cardio at all your sessions. But also, its Rhonda. An olympic Bronze medalist in Judo will always beat a white belt like that

@gczeus Played out like every single Ronda fight up until like Carmouche. Also Ronda has definitely kept in some kind of athletic shape since her last fight, I highly doubt Carano has

I was also a maniac, used to search for Spanish Galleons, but not tourist traps. Found and dove many that were unburied on the sea floor after hurricanes, Went alone into ships many times with no fear after recon with dive buddies...to salvage artifacts... until I got stuck by myself and fought for my life to get out...no air in my lungs, regulator ripped out my mouth and tank with bc got stuck while my arms were up, trying to pull myself to the faint light i seen, lmao I couldn't get to the regulators they were down by my legs and i always dove with octo or duel, I kicked up silt couldn't see anything, I tried to remain calm and somehow I squeezed myself almost out and then pulled cord, bc was purging bubbles like crazy, all the while with no air in my lungs, sensory overload, I violently shot up approx 40 feet from top of ship to surface with no air in my lungs, I forced myself to exhale, i did the motion, because all I could think of is death from the benz now lmao... first death from no air stuck, now second possible death 🙃 threw up for about 2 hours had nausea and so dizzy felt like nothing i have ever experienced. Dive buddies wanted to take me to a decompression chamber. I didn't want to go and waited it out drinking apple juice on boat. This is why I never dove again by myself or took risks ever again while diving. And that dive was around 70/75 feet depending on tides. Like you said those people and their dive guide should have never attempted that dive without proper air composition and equipment. PADI Advanced Open Water Diver since 1987 🫡

@DadSam25 Thank you for the support!! Despite my fear of it I really love and respect the ecosystem in the ocean and I have such a deep love of sharks. I wanted to one day, hopefully be brave enough to go swim with them. So I'm not sure generally how deep I'd have to go for that

This thought just killed any hope I had of getting over my thalassophobia and getting diving certified. Ohmygod no thank you

@marcorandazza Nitrogen narcosis is a trip and a half. At 100 ft I'm fine. Once I hit 110 its the most uncomfortable claustrophobia mixed with the feeling of being watched/followed... Im good just chilling at 20-30 feet around reefs and kelp forests now lol

@SeanRossSapp Literally the only difference between this and a typical Rhonda fight is that she shot a blast double rather than throwing her before she got the armbar

@belle379 @lizisamused @_adamdoug Because we live in the real world with children and work and after school activities, etc. Believe me, we love to put out candles and put on music and start foreplay early.... but that can't be the ONLY time a married couple has sex. Thats just not realistic

The #1 sex complaint I hear from women in straight relationships is that their guy stopped trying at some point. Barely there or non-existent foreplay, a few minutes of missionary or asking her to get on top, zero care for whether she gets off or not. Meanwhile she's still going down on him, putting on lingerie, buying new toys, etc. Then she just kinda gives up & stops wanting it...which is fair. To bring up this topic on X is to invite men who whine that it's ridiculous to expect half an hour of head & 7 positions (exaggerating to pretend any effort is too hard), say that sex is a wife's duty, or insist sex is about "bonding, not pleasure" (which is bullshit because we all know they're not down to just cuddle or only get her off, they want penetration until *they* get off & just don't care if SHE enjoys it). It's a dumb convo because men either get it or they don't, but it's also a baffling convo because obviously no one wants to continue having sex that's bad for them 🤷🏻‍♀️ To be fair, women lose desire for other reasons, like SSRIs/meds, birth control, stress, health issues, etc. It's not always the guy's fault. But that is the #1 complaint I hear, & it's obvious why those women stop wanting sex!
Kaeley Triller@KaeleyT

Dear men, As a general rule, if you make sex enjoyable for your wife, she will want more of it. There are exceptions to the rule, (trauma histories, medical issues, intimacy breakdowns, etc), but broadly speaking, this is a good place to start. If she knows you’re approaching sex as something to which you are entitled as opposed to an opportunity to bless, it’s probably not going to inspire feelings of romance.

ok here's some thinking out loud after asking gpt-5.5 to do a little research. i think this is a generational gap mediated by technological shifts. "porn" in 2026 means a very different thing now than it did 20 years ago, same with weed when older millennials like me were growing up in the early 2000s internet speeds were slow enough that streaming was not quite feasible - youtube didn't really blow up until 2006-7, which incidentally is also when both youporn and pornhub started. before that, during the period where internet speeds were high enough for easy access to photos but not videos (you used to have to wait for high-resolution photos to load), "porn" was like, pictures of playboy models or anime girls, and if you wanted more you had to put in the work of downloading or torrenting videos or, god forbid, renting or buying a physical VHS the standard liberal position at the time, as i recall it, was that watching porn was a cool liberal thing to do in the name of sex-positivity (but not so cool that you would talk about it in too much detail in public), and that if you were anti-porn that made you a conservative christian prude who hated sex, which i guess came out of the sex-positivity side winning the feminist sex wars (i would love to hear someone who knows more about the history of the waves of feminism say more about this) the rise of streaming porn and then the rise of smartphones together changed the game, now you have an infinite supply of arbitrarily hardcore video instantly available on demand on your laptop and in your pocket. that's a whole different level of accessibility compared to the previous era, let alone the eras before that. this was a completely unprecedented social experiment run on the entire world and discourse about the effects only took a few years to show up - r/nofap started in 2011, gary wilson's "the great porn experiment" tedx talk was 2012, time magazine ran "porn and the threat to virility" in 2016. i *think* this is when porn addiction as an online discourse became sort-of-mainstream but mostly among men and focused on the harm porn was doing to men (ED and so forth) now we need to add the rise of social media to the mix, which adds parasociality - camgirls, instagram models posting thirst traps, god only knows what they do on tiktok, culminating in the meteoric rise of onlyfans during lockdown. this is the bit that i'm guessing makes porn feel a lot more like cheating to zoomers because it breaks down the previous sense of there being a barrier between "porn stars" and "normal people." when i was growing up porn stars were like movie stars, you saw them on the screen and that was it. now a girl you might personally know might be or have been on onlyfans. a guy you date might have subscribed to her! that obviously feels much more like cheating than what people were doing before in 2026 it is much easier to feel like a guy watching porn is hooking himself up to a vast disgusting addictive machine, with a tentacle plugged into every screen, that corrodes the capacity for real human intimacy for clicks. it's significant that the girl in the video called it "gross" and not just "sexist" or whatever there is surely much much more to be said about how this ties into the broader - what are people calling it, the gen z sex recession? i'm thinking it must be crazy to have the metoo movement comboing into lockdown a few years later happen during your formative years. overall the naive sex positivity that millennials grew up with came out of a completely different set of material conditions, and i think it's cool and based that the zoomers are doing feminist sex wars part 2 instead, good luck to all the combatants
