It’s possible (even likely). But all his shortcomings are common with his archetype as a fighter - hyper explosive first round finishers, esp grapplers. The gassing, the lack of depth in his game, the way he runs out of ideas when guys don’t go away immediately, etc.

This topic is terrible for mma twitter but would it be crazy to even consider the idea that Khamzat despite the fact he won the belt and all may have already been physically declining since coming back from his retirement? Now a lot what we’ve seen from his since the Usman fight and on can be attributed to fighting higher level competition but apart of me wonders if his past health struggles and overtraining has slowly been catching up to him.
