@madaomoshiroi 100% Black bear. Black bears that look brown are called cinnamon. It’s in the hump, ears and shape of the nose and face. And how you react if you run into black vs brown is very different.

This is a black bear, exhibiting the classic signs of hunting and tracking. You were definitely in a dangerous situation. Your behavior was perfect for a brown bear, but black bears need you to make yourself big and intimidating with a firm voice. Most of the time they will leave you alone if you are extremely assertive and aggressive. The tree climbing, the consistent closing the distance between you were the keys. You were right about the bear spray.

@RightPulseNewss Don’t agree with some of his politics but I think he’s a good man and will be the most impactful entrepreneur of all time. Can we start debating issues instead of which “side” we’re on?

Very sad to hear about the passing of Leo Radvinsky. Leo was a true internet wizard with whom I shared a deep passion: unlocking earning potential for creators. Although we went about our work very different ways I deeply valued our friendship and the convos we had over the years. He built OF until one of the most culturally relevant and lucrative businesses on the planet. Thoughts and prayers to Katie and their family. Fun fact we actually went to the same high school, shoutout Glenbrook South. May his memory be eternal. forbes.com/sites/conormur…

Not sure. Things moving quickly but diffusion rate is hard to predict. That said, it’s going to happen so timeframe is less of a concern as it’s long-term play.

Never invested in bitcoin until this week and just bought in #BTC seven figures at $64k. Long hold. Beyond the rest of the arguments made by @Strategy and others and being an AI forward-thinker, autonomous agents transacting across trust boundaries need a collateral asset that is simultaneously neutral, programmable, finite, globally recognized, and always settling….and BTC is the only asset that checks all five boxes. The BitClaw trade. 🚀

Amaras’s Law: “We tend to overestimate the effect of a technology in the short run and underestimate the effect in the long run.” Agreed that you have to factor realistic timelines to your decisions, but ignore the inevitable progress at your peril. In Elons case he’s very optimistic and at times outlandish but he HAS changed the global EV market, he HAS built an almost impossible company of commercializing near earth orbit businesses amongst other things. The next one is FSD, which is also way late, but arriving now. I’m not suggesting ignoring timelines, I’m suggesting taking them into consideration/adjusting for whatever purpose that serves your interests.

You don’t see that as a strawman argument? Musk purposely and intentional provides absurd timelines that have no shot of happening in order to grab attention, cause shock, and get people to buy into his statements. It’s part of his schtick. If he said what he said but then claimed it would happen in 20-30 years, no one would care. Instead, everything and anything, no matter what it is, will happen within 10 years or so - just enough time to keep his audience engaged. Responding to this circus with a “oh, ignore the timeline but believe in the progress” is silly as the timeline is a key part of his prognostication. Remove the timeline and you are just claiming the future will be better.

@Kee354013Mc @rohanpaul_ai There’s a trail of broken promises regarding timelines, but you can’t argue the fact that things are speeding up exponentially now. I agree it will definitely take longer than most projections, especially with regulatory being decades behind the tech in their processes.

@rohanpaul_ai @Dagk 10? Try 40 In the 2000’s I was promised teeth that would regrow themselves. Japanese scientists had solved the problem. Dentistry wouldn’t exist as a profession. Yet here we are, flying to Vietnam to save money on crowns and dental implants.
