Name a pitcher whose windup you could recognize from a mile away.
For me, it’s Dontrelle Willis. That leg kick was basically its own baseball era.
Who’s yours?
@WomanRobs@WalshFreedom Ha ha - what that I wrote isn’t true? Go ahead - answer - you can’t because it’s all easily proved - all you can do is throw meaningless insults
@WomanRobs@WalshFreedom That’s so far from the truth. Ford shot twice by leftists, Reagan by a leftist, Scalise by a leftist, Trump and Kirk by leftists, leftist violence against ICE and Tesla. Name one by a Republican. And we have plenty of outrage for children shot in schools -mostly by transgenders
1. Political violence is always wrong.
2. It’s wrong, but not at all surprising, that someone would try to commit an act of violence against this President. Donald Trump is a cruel, hateful, divisive person, with the world’s biggest microphone, who incites violence against people every single day. He lives off of hate & division. Every day, Trump lights a match and spreads hate. So it’s not surprising someone would try to commit violence against him. It’s wrong, but not surprising.
On this day in 1982, Paul McCartney released his album "Tug Of War".
As Paul's first album after Wings officially broke up, it was a #1 hit in many countries and met with widespread critical acclaim.
What's your favorite song on the album?
Frank Robinson: Triple Crown winner, 2x MVP. Player Manger for Cleveland (1975-76). Not so common these days. Can you go back in time and name another player-manager?
@WilliCaroline@WesternLensman No - they’re just pointing out that Murphy, Pelosi, Jeffries, Waters, Schumer and several other leaders in the D party called out for open season on Trump and other Republicans many times - I’ll send you the videos if you want to see them
Senator Chris Murphy, yesterday:
“We're in a war right now to save this country. And so you have to be willing to do whatever is necessary in order to save the country."
@nut_history Gehrig was truly great. But I’m not sure why you celebrate his 1927 season versus Ruth’s. In 1927, Ruth hit 60 HR had 165 RBI, scored 158 runs, had 137 BBs, 89 Ks, .356 BA, .486 OBP, .772 SLG, and 1.258 OPS. It’s close, but I’d take Ruth over Gehrig.
It's impossible to overstate how incredible Lou Gerhig was in 1927
47 HRs - 173 RBIs - 149 Runs - 10 SBs
218 Hits - 109 BBs - 84 Ks - 52 2Bs - 18 3Bs (?!!)
.373 BA - .474 OBP - .765 SLG (1.240 OPS!)
And all of those RBIs came hitting behind Babe Ruth In the lineup who himself hit 60 HRs and drove in 165 runs that year
@VinnysCorner1 I strongly disagree with Ruth and Marciano. Ruth was one of the best pitchers in Baseball, and then became its best hitter for many years, hitting more HRs than many teams. Marciano beat every boxer in his sport- what else was he supposed to do?
