you know, this space can really eat you alive. i try to stay in my own lane and do my own thing, but i know there are people who just don’t see it for me, who will never like me. similarly, there are some people who will use me then leave. i’m not unaware of the fact that people have spoken poorly about me or have reached out over the years with ill intentions. thankfully, friends have let me know what’s going on, but it’s just reality. some people are just like that: they like breaking down and using others because they’re not happy with themselves. i’m annoying. i’m too much. i’m self-centered. i’m egoistical. i’m selfish. i’m a bitch. or even worse, i have friends who they can climb over me to get to. and even then, with the former, i tried giving the benefit of the doubt to people who have hurt me. maybe the criticism means i still have to work on myself? last year, as a lot of you know, grief really had me in survival mode for so long. but, life goes on and even when i wasn’t at my best, people showed up for me and helped me through the worst time of my life. i’ve come to realize that even if i’m just a small-time twitch creator, i’ve found something really special in my community and friends. mind you, i’ve known about these things for months now. i just don’t think it’s conducive to give those people any more power, you know? but, i’m so thankful for the friends and my community who show up for me. i’ve got such a strong support system and it’s helped me get through so much. they’re the reason i’m still here and didn’t give up. i also still have the same mindset: if someone maligns me and you immediately start to gossip about me or change up, you’re just not someone i need in my life. if you reach out with intentions of using me, i’ll find out. karma always bites back. this isn’t a sadboy post, though! this is me writing this long after learning the truth. and right now, i’m so damn happy these days, but i had to address this at least once and for all. i’ve got so much in the works right now and i’m excited to share it all! sorry for the long wait, just hold out a little longer for me. 🤍

to add onto what phoenixx said, the same could be said about the gay vtubing scene. queer men are still men and unfortunately, while so many male vtubers are amazing people, there is the minority out there that’s selfish, looking to manipulate and use you. so yes, you SHOULD be always be careful of the large and seemingly successful male vtuber that’s randomly in your stream, dms, or comments. don’t give into naivety and instead, take it slow. when you get invited to collabs, get lovebombed or gifted subs, or even are just constantly glazed by someone, i just urge you to think about it: what am i offering to this person? what’s their interest in me? it’s just like making friends at work. don’t get in too deep or reveal too much, too soon. unfortunately in this space, several male vtubers have approached me with intentions of getting closer to my larger vtuber friends, or because they’ve wanted something sexual out of me, like sexting or pictures. and a bunch of my male vtuber friends have had similar experiences. idk, just be safe y’all. it’s scary out there and again, while most people are so great and kind, it just takes one evil person to cause a great deal of harm.
