@heterodorx Parent once said to me that I had made their child feel uncomfortable while discussing homosexuality! I pointed out that was fine and he needed to learn to cope.
@shaunjlawson The one on unisex toilets in school? Absolutely not. Girls at that age are sensitive and easily embarrassed. Plus they need somewhere private to gossip! Boys at that age…
@jayfarthing_ Also I’m more interested in not rushing vulnerable teens into life changing decisions, allowing male bodies to have an advantage in women’s sport and giving awards to TW for achievements gained when men. I’ve spent a lifetime being ignored because I’m a woman.
@jayfarthing_ No, it doesn’t. Women can commit sexual assault too. But no victim of male rape should be forced to refer to her attacker as a woman if she doesn’t want to. And that rapist should not be housed with women. And I don’t care if the rapist’s feelings are hurt.
@jayfarthing_ Self-identification is wide open to exploitation. Teens claiming they are trans can actually have other problems and need careful counselling.
@jayfarthing_ Only because I’m polite. Not because I believe they are a woman. And not if they are a rapist. And no to the female penis, the man giving birth, and the elimination of the word ‘woman’.
@jayfarthing_ I was on a GC thread the other day where people were talking about supporting trans people they knew while also being GC. It isn’t black and white. I can support a TW. What I can’t say is that she is a woman. I still don’t want to kill or abuse anyone.
@NeoPagliacci I’ve taught for 30 years and would tell any teacher that those are inappropriate footwear for the classroom. And the day my pupils are more interested in my clothing than my lesson is the day I have failed as a teacher.
@decenthumanbean@vicparsons_ Because it is there as a means of identification. They look at your physical characteristics without asking how you feel about them. It also has to be accepted throughout the world,
BREAKING: The UK Supreme Court has released its judgment in the case brought by non-gendered activist Christie Elan-Cane for the Home Office to make 'X' gender markers available in British passports.
The Supreme Court "unanimously dismisses the appeal".
Someone said something to me today about the vaccine not being a vaccine when you have to have it more than once in your life. Take the measles mumps and rubella vaccine. It's a one off for life. These are not. Hence they are not really vaccines more jabs.
