I am COMPLETELY shocked: the Wall Street Journal has named Good Girls one of its top 10 books of the year! Thank you so much to the WSJ editors and to @slsatel for the original brilliant review. You have honestly made my year wsj.com/arts-culture/b…

Despite @centreWJ’s grave concerns about the impact on rape victims of crown court backlog - we have joined other VAWG groups in opposing cutting jury trials because of the risks of ‘undermining justice’ for abused women and girls, as set out below theguardian.com/law/2026/mar/1…

It is very strange to publish an article on the gender dynamics of mass shooters and not mention that the two "female" shooters used as flagship examples here were biologically male. Males commit more than 90% of violent crimes.

If you are not following the Guardian’s facilitation of outright antisemitism on its opinion pages, you should. Now it’s trying to wriggle out by claiming the article was misunderstood. And I have a bridge in Brooklyn that I would happily sell to the #guardian
Josh Howie@joshxhowie

Nah. You know exactly what you did. After years of minimising the violence directed at Jews. And now you think you can weasel out of it. We see you @guardian. And you’ll see us tomorrow.

It's great to see Rachel Rooney interviewed about how she was cancelled & bullied, but infuriating too for anyone who would have hoped for more from children's publishers, Society of Authors & the world. It is also really sad.
George Chesterton@geochesterton

I interviewed poet and author @RooneyRachel about being cancelled by a publishing industry that crushes free speech and careers in the name of gender ideology. For @Telegraph telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/03/1…

@glosswitch @thetimes No, I’m glad he said it, because otherwise I wouldn’t have known how to feel about a woman being raped. To be honest, I might have done a giddy jig

@HadleyFreeman @thetimes I know it's hardly the main thing, but there's something about the completely unnecessary "sadly" that bothers me.

Today’s @thetimes column: David Lammy, former enemy of feminist “dinosaurs”, now champion of rape victims. Life moves pretty fast! David Lammy is using rape victims to get his way on juries thetimes.com/article/1631ae…

@HadleyFreeman They touch. Why would that be bad? Really? Imagine the power of an Israeli-connected child or teenager seeing an Israeli-connected cafe with market dominance. In a way, it would be inspiring.

So let me get this straight: 1. Petty activism against a Palestinian-owned cafe is bad (agreed!) 2. But *violent* activism against a cafe that people associate (wrongly!) with Israel is justified and understandable Update your rule book accordingly

@HadleyFreeman @lib_thinks @bindelj Yeah because the Jews APPROPRIATED it. At gunpoint. They literally went in there with machine guns yelling “STEP AWAY FROM THE FALAFELS!!!”

@lib_thinks @bindelj My God, even setting aside the hideous and aggressive antisemitism, this is an unbelievably terrible piece of restaurant writing.

The Guardian: Even tho a bakery which had a Jewish founder is a British business (technically, we guess), it’s clearly an act of aggression for a Jew-store to open near a salt-of-the-earth independently owned Palestinian cafe. theguardian.com/commentisfree/

Hilariously good "Private Eye" parody of the "Letters of T. S. Eliot." Even better of my annotations. (Parody is the sincerest form of flattery.)

@HadleyFreeman @Gladwell The men speak as though they are parents sorting out children fighting over toys, as if women are spoilt brats wanting all the "women things" for themselves

Would love to know what @Gladwell thinks women should offer up in exchange for the privilege of not having to compete against men on the sports field. Should we get undressed in front of them in changing rooms? Share jail cells with them?
XX-XY Athletics@xx_xyathletics

Malcolm Gladwell says if males agree to stop invading women’s sports, in response females must accommodate all the other demands of the trans movement. Once again, a man telling women they must consent to other men’s demands for their private spaces AND VERY IDENTITY. How about we stop accommodating mental illness at the expense of women & girls @Gladwell ? You may be intelligent, but your moral compass is sadly broken.
