Looking forward to the @NCEPOD webinar on 'Planning for the end' which is about to start - a review of the quality of care provided to adults towards the end of life. It is being recorded so you can watch it later.

From September 9th you will need to use the new attending practitioner MCCD. These have already been sent to hospital sites, GP practices etc. Do not use them before then. The currently used MCCD will not be valid if written on or after September 9th.

Excellent meeting between @NWSSP #MedicalExaminer service and our Welsh GP colleagues with plenty of excellent questions about how we will proceed with finalising the roll out to cover remaining community deaths by the autumn to give us time before April next year.

@prtrevail @SDrjlshannon @NWSSP Absolutely! There is a lot of work being undertaken by different parties on modernisation of the MCCD, including work on making it digital and easier to complete by attending practitioners

Changes to death cert law are not far off including a statutory #MedicalExaminer system @DaisyShale and I are holding an open Q&A forum for GPs in 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 on May 4th at 7pm. Joining information and packs for implementation have been sent out to all surgeries and LMCs by @NWSSP

Emotional reading the findings. Every bereaved, harmed, family I've met over many years have stated how harmful it is not having a voice,to have to search for openness & transparency, answers, truth. It impacts on every part of life. There has to be a kinder way for all.
