I recently returned to Hywel Dda after being away many years - I so wish I’d caught up with her. I will never forget her guidance and support.

In my role as head of profession @HywelDdaHB I am sharing sad news-the unexpected death of a true nursing professional. Mrs Carol Cotterell passed away on Sunday & whilst a formal UHB notification will be issued I have been asked to let staff know. With sympathy to her family.

@ProfBrendan I agree with your comments James. We’ve been fascinated with advanced roles for too long which has been a direct loss of hands on fundamental care. I’m all for advancement but bedside nursing has suffered. In my opinion bring back the EN’s they delivered that with quality!
