From the footage shown before release, I could already tell Crimson Desert was shaping up to be more of a technical demo than a fully realized game. That it would feel like an MMO in everything but name. That the story would barely be there. And people went for my throat over it. And I get it, when a game you’re excited about doesn’t meet expectations, it stings. But pretending criticism comes out of nowhere, or that people are just “hating,” isn’t helping anyone. A lot of us are just saying: manage your expectations. We literally had this debate weeks ago: does story matter in games? And yeah, gameplay is important. But for most players, no amount of systems or content will keep them around if there’s no story to anchor it. If anything, this should be a reminder that hype culture is toxic, for players and studios. Because when something looks too good to be true… it usually is.

@Pirat_Nation Couldn't care less about their games tbh, most of them suck ass. What will be annoying is when they start money hatting to keep 3rd party shit away from PC, as that is the only tactic they know instead of offering a better platform.

RE4 'tank' controls work beautifully within the game's balance and it's honestly still stupidly fun all these years later

Such a shame to see the tech space become so radically polarised. I've been receiving hate mail all evening simply for covering DLSS 5. It's blatantly obvious it has incredible potential and is one of the most exciting developments in recent years (and there's been fierce competition for that spot). Incredibly short-sighted for people to dismiss it for minor and misinformed points, and to turn any discourse about it into a witchhunt. The tech community deserves better.

Many feel Bungie just isn't committed enough to Destiny and honestly, hard to argue when the game has been so buggy and neglected for a few years now.

@PantheRed97 @Gaelox Joe trabajó en Infinite el último año y no como director (Chris Lee fue quien ocupo ese rol la mayor parte del tiempo). Su papel fue básicamente enfocar al equipo para que lo que ya tenían lo pudiesen entregar en 2021, además de negociar con MS para retrasar el juego un año.

La diferencia de calidad de Bungie en Xbox y PlayStation tiene una explicación: El Bungie de Teseo. Microsoft lleva años contratando a ex-empleados de Bungie, creando "Halo Studios" que es una sombra del estudio original. Mientras que Bungie tiene mayormente nueva plantilla.

Ahora que lo pienso, Requiem ha descanonizado por completo Resident Evil 2,3 y el 4 Originales Si quieres jugar las historias Canon solo es con los Remakes, ya que si juegas los Originales y pasas a Requiem no vas a entender un montón de cosas, ni reconocer el escenario de R.C

@Gaelox MCC lo tienen olvidado, ni tampoco tiene tanto crédito un remaster la verdad. Eso sí, que hayan dado mod tools es un puntazo. Infinite fue y es un desastre. No sorprende el hecho de que se mantenga irrelevante. El remake de Halo 1 representa su total bancarrota creativa.

Ni Halo Studios ni Bungie conservan la esencia de lo que alguna vez fueron los desarrolladores de Halo 3. Ambos estudios son fragmentos de lo que alguna vez fue Bungie. Ahora, creo que "menos peor" es Halo Studios, porque al menos MCC e Infinite son buenas.
