@jerrysgotpops I mean i think it just shows in online discussion. & in personal chats with friends. 8 hours drop at once, how do you know what episode everybody got up to? Some people wont remember specific episodes / moments cuz it blends together. It just muddles the whole experience

@DalLikePal I have heard that argument a lot but would love to see some hard data work done on it. I’m a numbers guy so I’m always curious if most people just say that on vibes or if there is some serious hard data that proves it. I think weekly hurt Fallout season 2 personally as an example

@jerrysgotpops I havent watched those. & i dont mind extended premieres / episodes. My singular issue is the death of weekly television, in which Netflix plays a substantial role. Binge release hurts community building & longevity/specificity of discourse

@DalLikePal I certainly don’t like whatever they are doing with steel ball run I also would not have been mad about binge releases mainly because binge releases are just a bit easier for me as a viewer and I usually wait till a weekly show finishes to watch it anyway at this point.

@jerrysgotpops I mean seasonal & batch releases are completely different. & now, dropping one episode after years only to disappear again feels like the only way it could be worse lol. Also its different from those in that those movies / specials have typically been the finales, not beginnings
