Costco and Walmart provide competition which benefits Canadian consumers through lower prices and innovation. Look to Canadian airlines and cellphone service providers as examples of industries with limited competition.

So I hear we apparently aren’t supposed to shop at Costco anymore because it’s American. But Costco provides jobs for 53,000 people in Canada. And those employees and the company pay taxes in Canada. And individual Canadians own Costco stock and so share in the profits.
