How often do 1st or 2nd-team all-conference players transfer? Data from the 2026 portal cycle shows a notable divide between the conferences, via @CBSSports:
G-6: 70.5%
ACC/Big 12: 43.2%
Big Ten/SEC: 2.6%

@csATLdawg Bama OL sucked last year, that is true but Formby wasn’t their primary issue. He was young and solid for them. They wanted him to stay. All teams love their roster during spring. A&M OL will be very, very good.
English

@DallasAg87 Read the Bama spring reports man. They love their tackles for this year and got frustrated with Formby last year. 1+1=2. They do not care about losing him lol
English

Interesting exercise to take what you think and compare it against another model visually. For instance I don't think that gap between Missouri and Illinois, South Carolina and Nebraska, Auburn or Vanderbilt and Minnesota is nearly that wide. I also suspect that Kentucky and Rutgers are more gapped out than it shows.
Also a whole lot went right for Texas A&M last year and it made me, after viewing this, think: I wonder would I really take Texas A&M over USC or Michigan on a neutral field? I don't think I would.

@csATLdawg none of that is true. USCe and Bama wanted both to stay. A&M and Elko are good at the portal. I'll trust them over you for certain.
English

@DallasAg87 @BudElliott3 @_JoeManzo Bama most certainly did not care about losing Formby. SCar feels like they upgraded even though they lost the guy y’all took. Not all transfers are good man.

@lukeevangelist_ Luke posts about A&M. Replies are all sips. Surprising nobody.

This extension is perfect timing for A&M with this wild coaching cycle.
Hearing the extension will add an additional year to his contract, now running until 2031.
In his first season, McMillan won 22 games and led the Aggies to the Round of 32 in the NCAA Tournament 👍
Billy Liucci@billyliucci
Sources: Texas A&M/Bucky McMillan have agreed in principle and are close to finalizing an extension and salary 'market adjustment.' Looks like @BuckyBasketball will be building a program in College Station long-term 👍🏼
English

@BudElliott3 @_JoeManzo there is one fanatic on this thread...sure. Make an argument based in fact and I'll agree. Tell me your opinion (with emotion)...meh.
English

@DallasAg87 @_JoeManzo Fan is short for fanatic. You will never convince a fan of a team about one of their players. Even my best friend is an aggie and it took him like two seasons to realize he is a "win with" not a "win because of" QB
English

@BudElliott3 @_JoeManzo lol- no issue with an opinion. You keeps yours. It just isn’t convincing
English

@BudElliott3 @_JoeManzo ...and last year he took his team to the playoffs as a first-year starter, so maybe the crap was deserved?
English

@DallasAg87 @_JoeManzo Cool. Box score scout him. Keep believing. I got a lot of crap for this too last year until they had to play some decent teams and ... 45-71, 5.75/attempt (horrendous), 0 TD, 4 INT.
English

@BudElliott3 @_JoeManzo Ok, Bud. He played many decent teams. You seem emotionally invested here. And are cherry picking stats to support your opinion over his qbr stats. He definitely had a poor game vs Miami but their d line was a little better than “decent”. I’ll keep answering factual…
English

@csATLdawg @BudElliott3 @_JoeManzo They did want them. They’d all start if they were still on LSU, Bama, USCe. Guys leave via the portal all the time many reasons vs being told to go.
English

@BudElliott3 @_JoeManzo Not based on rating but sure that is your opinion only.
English

@BudElliott3 His QBR was 15th. Underwood 28th. The OL will be very good as the year progresses. Highly talent and experienced.
English

@DallasAg87 Yeah, I am saying I would take Michigan and USC outright because I trust their QBs and not A&M's and now he goes from having an amazing OL to a big question. I think they are close would just flip them.
English

@BudElliott3 @_JoeManzo A&M having a qb liability is overstated. (Reeds QBR was 15th; Underwood 28) A&M added four P2 OL starters in the portal. Last , the idea that A&M had “so much go right” is just opinion without substance. They had no more or no less good luck / bad luck.
English

@_JoeManzo Why? A&M has QB liability while other two do not. A&M losing 82% of OL starts. They will still be good but man, that OL was so good
