@atensnut I just googled it. What she is leaving out is that she is talking about GANG violence and wearing the wrong color. The whites didn’t do that.

@GregAbbott_TX Thank you for doing what should have been presented to begin with. I am ashamed of Dan Patrick. He is an embarrassment to our party. You have never let us down.

🚨 Who Really Shops at Hemp Stores in Texas? It’s Not Who You Think.
🧵 If Texas legislators actually walked into our stores, the truth they’d have to face would blow their minds.
Because it’s not “druggies” walking through the door.
It’s not criminals.
It’s not kids buying "candy" to get high.
It’s the people you praise in speeches and pose with for photos:
🔥 Firefighters
🎖️ Veterans
👮 Police officers
⚖️ Lawyers and judges
🧑🏫 Teachers
👨👩👧👦 Moms and dads
👵 Grandparents
🙏 Church leaders, choir members, preachers
💼 Small business owners
And yes — even legislators’ own wives, staff, and donors.
So while some of you sit in offices and call us “drug pushers”, "terrorists," or "bad actors" —
We’re over here helping your neighbors, your voters, your families feel better without pharmaceuticals.
The truth is, you’re not banning “stoners.”
You’re banning:
🛑 The soccer mom with anxiety
🛑 The veteran with war trauma
🛑 The grandpa with arthritis
🛑 The business that pays taxes and follows every rule
Yep. We’ve seen them.
They’ve thanked us for helping them sleep.
For easing their pain.
For giving them relief without prescriptions.
And for being compassionate, not judgmental.
You’d be shocked if you saw who really walks through our doors.
But maybe it’s time you do.
We are not criminals.
We are your community.
And we’re done being lied about.
So the next time you call us drug dealers —
Look your own voters in the eye and say it.

@GregAbbott_TX @GregAbbott_TX stand your ground sir. I fully support you but @DanPatrick I will never again vote for. It ‘s appalling how he is lying about the issues, acting like liberals with disinformation. I’m a conservative Christian and he’s wrong.

To be clear, the Arkansas law differs from S.B. 3 in legally consequential ways. Unlike the Texas bill, Arkansas’ law did not ban “any amount” of a cannabinoid, it expressly permitted hemp farming consistent with federal law, and it carved out interstate transportation. Those are three legal concerns I raised about S.B. 3 that do not exist in the Arkansas law. Even though the Arkansas law was not plagued with the same legal defects as the Texas bill, it still was unenforced for two years and will be further tied up in court for years to come. I vetoed the Texas bill because we do not have time for a protracted legal fight - we must act now to keep Texas children safe. That process begins next month.

@amerasell @simpyblessedoma @LtGovTX @GregAbbott_TX It was pointless. Unfortunately the well intentioned folks supporting a full ban are misinformed. Hemp is a natural commodity and far safer that nicotine and alcohol. A ban would simply have people resorting to illegal substances.

Throughout the legislative session, @GregAbbott_TX remained totally silent on Senate Bill 3, the bill that would have banned dangerous THC products in Texas. His late-night veto, on an issue supported by 105 of 108 Republicans in the legislature, strongly backed by law enforcement, many in the medical and education communities, and the families who have seen their loved ones’ lives destroyed by these very dangerous drugs, leaves them feeling abandoned. I feel especially bad for those who testified and poured their hearts out on their tragic losses. I will have much more to say at a press conference tomorrow in Austin.
English

@amerasell @LtGovTX @GregAbbott_TX Sorry but not true nor are his “facts” supporting this unconstitutional ban are untrue. Many Christian conservative republicans as myself as well as being in the healthcare profession wanted this bill vetoed. The evil lies in street drugs and illegal dealing.
English

@LtGovTX @GregAbbott_TX Christian conservatives that make up the majority of this state have yet to make their voices heard on this issue. I'm certain the vast majority of us will stand with Dan Patrick. Thank you Dan Patrick for fighting for the well being of Texans. It couldn't have been easy

The governor of Texas has the opportunity to champion the billion dollar hemp industry he created when he signed HB1325 into law in 2019. We are once again calling on @GregAbbott_TX to veto total hemp ban SB3. Like and RT if you agree.

@AlanaKStewart Meanwhile the blind libs in Texas blame our governor for the rising cost of natural gas. How can people be so ignorant to the actual truth? Heartbreaking.
English

Our gas bills in LA have gone up 110%. And the rest of the country is suffering as well. Many people turning their heat off at night to save money even when it's freezing cold because they can't afford to heat their houses. I prefer the mean tweets to this. #energycrisis #Biden
