@TexasTechSB @TechAthletics @Big12Conference The ratings machine churns on. All these poor SEC schools should be loving the relevancy Texas Tech brings to this sport.

Texas Tech has filed its appeal to NCAA for Brendan Sorsby’s eligibility reinstatement. This is separate from the lawsuit, but the appeal docs were included in the latest filing.
“The University believes the NCAA should overturn its decision and impose a two-game suspension…”

Texas Tech AD Kirby Hocutt tells @TheAthletic that Tech’s appeal on Sorsby should be filed around the end of the week. Asked if he knows how the NCAA learned of Sorsby’s betting, Hocutt said, “That’s been shared with me, but I would not comment on that.” More:

NEW: Steve Sarkisian took a shot at Texas Tech while discussing how the College Football Playoff Committee factors strength of schedule👀 “There's a team in our state that plays in another conference that has a schedule that I would argue if I played with our twos and our threes, we could go undefeated, and they'll probably make the CFP this year.” (via @AnwarRichardson) on3.com/college/texas-…

@HunterYurachek What about the additional time your players get to rest after losing to North Alabama? Do you not see that as unfair to Utah?

I came really close to buying this BBQ restaurant for $650k in 2021.
It was doing $235k in annual profit. The food was terrible, if i'm being honest. But the reviews were somehow 4.6 stars from 1,100 people.
The location was in a 110,000 person suburb outside Dallas. Prime spot. 9/10 location
It was the only non chain BBQ place in the entire town. Every other option was Dickey's or Rudy's.
The place stayed packed despite serving pretty bad BBQ. That's how solid that location was
My friend and I are Franklin disciples. We were going to bring his flavor profile to this spot. Better brisket, better sides, better everything.
But then I started thinking. Some people prefer crappy BBQ. The reviews proved it.
We might've pushed out the blue collar crowd and brought in the millennial crowd instead. Risky.
The deal fell apart anyway. The landlord was crazy and wouldn't play ball. Probably saved me from myself.
One day I'm buying or starting a BBQ restaurant no matter how many people tell me it's a terrible idea. I just have to check that box.
