@BlehisBack That's why I make this quote my key matra " if you can buy it thrice don't buy it" I wanted to get a whip of 12m recently but decided against it because I will be left with just money for rent afterward I'd rather stack up till I have 30. Before I consider it

It’s how you can spend years building savings, brick by brick, and then one big purchase just takes you right back to square one. Save ₦8m for like 3 years, buy one car, and you’re back to zero again.
Save ₦2m for years, pay for an apartment, and you’re starting from scratch.
Japa is even worse. Years of disciplined saving wiped in one move. That quiet reality of watching millions you built over time reset to ₦1k, then waking up and starting the grind all over again. It’s a strange mix of heartbreak and fulfillment in the moment of the buy.

@mayorde4you2 And that's why this thing called poverty is not a good thing at all, do you know that on May1st, I documented a burial ceremony at Ebony Vaults, Ikoyi and also that day I had to attend my boss wedding where obviously they spent over 10m, let's imagine that an average person saves

An average keke rider in Nigeria earns 10k-20k daily depending on his strength and work hours. He’s able to take care of his family of 3 and live comfortably. But you see a 9-5er who wakes up every morning well dressed and in his 30s, earns 200k-300k monthly. He can’t even get married or start up a business. I think there’s something wrong with how the civil servants think when it’s about starting a family than the business owners. A boy that just got settled in business in 2025 will get married this year, he’s not even upto 30s. But a civil servant who has worked in an office for 5yrs, earns 200-300k daily will still find it hard to settle down. His only excuse is finances.

@mayorde4you2 @king_Naeto Lmao 🤣🤣 this comment is very funny and 💯 true. But I can counter this post a bit, some weeks ago, an accident occured in Abeokuta ,the bikeman died on the spot and somehow, his passenger escaped...I know we are talking about keke here though.

@obinna_emelobe @mayorde4you2 @Aretetolife_03 I was telling my guy recently that it is not how much you make per month that matters, it is the amount you are able to save that matters; some of my friends are always shocked when I tell them I can't afford to live in Lagos at the moment, it is simple mathematics!

Will you blame the person? He just did 1,200,000 divided by 12 In his mind, if he saves 100k monthly, he can comfortably pay the rent He then forgets that their are so many other things that will eat from that money. And that he may not even have that job forever. Instead of him to think of how he can flip the money into something that brings passive income, he is distracted by comfort and all the debits that comes with it

@mayorde4you2 @obinna_emelobe @Aretetolife_03 My career first oh... 🤣 The way I know that I don't have any support is the same way I am conscious that I don't have any interest in building a family I can't cater for at the moment and that's a very good decision I am happy with.

@mayorde4you2 @obinna_emelobe @Aretetolife_03 And exactly one reason why I am happy with my life. At some point, I'd say I tried to be in a couple of relationships and since they weren't working out; my bro, I just focused on my life and now some ladies are interested in me and I'm like , what figure of speech is that?

Let’s look at a few FACTS as per comparing the JAPA criticism to life in Nigeria. Now, an average full time worker in Nigeria works a minimum of 50-60hrs per week, while a JAPA student works a max of 20hrs per week. I can use €20-30 to stock up groceries that will last me a week, but in Nigeria I will need a minimum of ₦100-150K for same. I pay €49 monthly for my regional ticket that I use for train, tram, and bus around Austria, but a Nigerian will need 35-45% of his salary for transportation alone in a month. I pay €78 monthly for health insurance that gives me access to that same health care your President and Top men scamper to get abroad, but an average Nigerian can go bankrupt with just one health scare. I can decide to take a walk around 2am midnight and not be scared of anything, but the average Nigerian can’t confidently move around in broad daylight without fear for his safety. As a student I can travel to 29 countries without a VISA on a 3-day vacation and I won’t need to spend more than 15% of my income, but an average Nigerian can’t afford to go to Kenya 🇰🇪 for a 3-day holiday. Let’s not talk about stable electricity, the quality of air I breathe here, the infrastructure, and all round quality of life.

My friend finished NYSC I think in December or so. Since this year started he’s been telling me the same thing every week. “Guy, I’m tired” “Job no dey”
“Things for my house no be normal again”. At first I thought it was normal post NYSC stress but it wasn’t. The pressure from his family was too much, constant reminders that he was sitting at home, comparisons with others even his younger ones started talking to him like he was useless Then they told him to take a teaching job 50k salary. He refused at first when he told me about it I told him it was a bad idea plus we did calculations, if he removes tfare and data money he’s left with just 15k, I told him straight up not to take it he also agreed not because he felt too big but because he knew his worth and didn’t want to rush into something that would trap him. You guys won’t believe his family called him lazy. I was so pissed when he told me because this guy graduated with 4.36 cgpa and he was actively applying and going for interviews He told me, “I don’t even feel like a human being in that house anymore” By March, the pressure became too much. He finally took the teaching job because he just needed peace and a reason to leave that house every day. This morning he called me that he just got a job an entry level role that pays X8 of the teaching job with good HMO🥹🥹🥹he resumes first week of June. Honestly, I think about everything he went through and I just keep one thought in my mind Parents need to do better

Job hunting is not for the weak, it’s exhausting, it makes you go through all the emotions in the world and nobody talks about that enough

You always have a choice but buy from vendors you can fall back to should incase the gear develops faulty unnecessarily.
Adepegba Damilola David@Damgeo_lambert

@Kingcreatorr Okay, look at this for example, so you expect me to buy from camera joint in this situation? If that's the case, I'll not buy because of trust.
