@marybrooksmu @AyannaSimmons20 This is a really good point. If the goal of this ad is to limit teen pregnancy, then there should be equal attention focused to men and women.

@AyannaSimmons20 I absolutely see the stigma here. How is raising a child not changing the world in its own right? Why is there not a young father depicted in this ad as well? This message is harmful towards not only teen mothers, but all teenagers and the communities they live in.

I chose the stigma of young motherhood. People assume just because you’re young you’re not capable of being a good parent. The crisis could be sexual health bc of unprotected sex. The message makes it seems that u can’t have a fulfilling life if you have kids

@MacNewmanMIZ @ChandrikaCC I saw this same report the other day and I thought it was really absurd for a representative to make this proposal. I don't know what this would even accomplish either. These kind of statements do more harm than good

Promoting action is most important here. There needs to be immediate action towards the response effort and preventing future dams failures from similar events since storms of this nature are becoming more common #CERCPrinciples #MUCrisisComma

Here is an article that discusses two dam failures in Michigan that led to massive floods that forced residents in the area to evacuate. The article discusses how aging dams built over 60+ years ago were not meant for todays weather nbcnews.com/news/us-news/t…

@mshxk9 @ChandrikaCC Apathy may be an obstacle, but the opportunity is a skill builder. Communication challenges are communication experiences!

@ChandrikaCC I would like to be in charge of public relations. I understand the apathy can be a barrier to overcome, but welcome the challenge of getting an audience’s attention. #Reaction2

@marybrooksmu @ChandrikaCC Anytime there is a group voicing their concerns, especially a very angry one, it's absolutely important to be an empathic listener. Good choice and reasoning

Of Sandman’s four types of risk communication, I would choose to head the Outrage Management department. This is low hazard but high outrage. I am an empathetic listener and would be able to listen to their concerns and respond accordingly. @ChandrikaCC #Reaction2

@ChandrikaCC of the Sandman’s four types of risk communication I chose to be in charge of Stakeholder management. It is Moderate Hazard, moderate outrage and what drew me to this role was the chance to have more open discussion with back and forth dialogue #Reaction2
