@marybrooksmu @AyannaSimmons20 This is a really good point. If the goal of this ad is to limit teen pregnancy, then there should be equal attention focused to men and women.

@AyannaSimmons20 I absolutely see the stigma here. How is raising a child not changing the world in its own right? Why is there not a young father depicted in this ad as well? This message is harmful towards not only teen mothers, but all teenagers and the communities they live in.

I chose the stigma of young motherhood. People assume just because you’re young you’re not capable of being a good parent. The crisis could be sexual health bc of unprotected sex. The message makes it seems that u can’t have a fulfilling life if you have kids
