I'm confused as to what's going on with the vote totals in the poll. Last year's voting average in the poll was 24k votes. The year before that was 26k votes. The year before that was 21k votes. And THIS year's average until Martinsville a couple weeks ago was 19k votes. Suddenly though, Martinsville only got 9.8k votes. I posted about it and a lot of you said you didn't see it in your timeline. Now suddenly the next poll is only 3.5k votes. But in the analytics, it says there were 124k impressions (number of people who saw the post). For transparency, let's look at some of the vote totals vs. impressions (number of people who saw the poll, per X Analytics). This is in order for this year's races. Clash: 14.8k votes, 58k impressions (25% voted) Daytona 500: 28.6k votes, 156k impressions (18% voted) Atlanta: 24.3k votes, 257k impressions (11% voted) COTA: 18.7k votes, 135k votes (14% voted) Phoenix: 16.8k votes, 116k impressions (14% voted) Vegas: 15.5k votes, 61k impressions (25% voted) Darlington: 17.3k votes, 256k impressions (6% voted) Martinsville: 9.8k votes, 130k impressions (7% voted) Bristol: 3.5k, 124k impressions (3% voted) So what happened the last few weeks? Something isn't adding up (and no, I don't think it's "NASCAR fans suddenly stopped deciding to vote"). Seems like either the vote totals are wrong or the impressions are wrong and people aren't seeing the poll. What's your theory? (cc: @nikitabier)

Was Bristol a good race? 67 percent of you said Yes. -- Ranks No. 14 of 22 Bristol races -- Ranks No. 3 of the paved Next Gen races at Bristol (the two high tire wear races were ahead of it, so this is the top "normal" Bristol race with the Next Gen car) -- Only 3.5k votes. @jeff_gluck Good race. Gen7 producing good racing overall. A few more tweaks in the works for short tracks and super speedways according to DBC. But we get gr8 racing on 1.5 mile tracks. Far out, go back to ‘07 & ‘08 when talk was about processional racing on ‘cookie cutter mile and a halfs’

Got a couple of snaps of the old Calder Park Thunderdome taking off from Tullamarine this afternoon. Back from the days when we had #Nascar in Australia!

More context, this is the scene that the field were passing at speed, under dbl waved yellows. Big wreck, front impact to concrete. Ute halfway across the track. Driver still strapped in. Drivers side exposed to the direction of race. They continued like this for 2 more laps! 🤷‍♂️

Wreck happened right in front of us. Shld’ve been immediate safety car. 1. It was a massive hit, straight into concrete. 2. The wreck was that bad the following ute stopped on track briefly. 3. Dbl waved yellows at the 2 preceding flag points but field stayed @ speed #RepcoSC

In fairness, from a trackside spectator perspective the short track is actually a pretty good watch. You see the cars twice as much in these timed support races 😂 #RepcoSC #Supercars

So apparently support events will be using the short circuit over the next few hours. This should give the rapid-set repair at T8 time to dry before the next Supercars session…. so they say…. 🤷‍♂️ This is top tier racing in Australia 🤦‍♂️😂 #RepcoSC #Supercars

@TomcatNASCAR_2 Not sure. It’s definitely not ideal. The one they did mid race at Bathurst in 2014 held up ok, but I’m not sure if this is the same material. Feels very much like patch-and-Hope at the moment, but I’d be happy to be wrong.

@DamienBryan79 What is your level of confidence the repair will hold?

Sitting in 33C at SMP, one support race in, and now the Turn 8 repave they did on Monday is falling apart 🤷‍♂️🥵
