Probably the best car interior made for years.
Tom@tommuk00
@AutoPap I don’t get it. VW have done some amazing interiors, who on earth signs this stuff off 🤦♂️

Unless you drive something marginally faster you truly Donno how fast these things actually are

Folk out there say THIS is slow..

@AutoInfatuation A note for the future. carparts4less.co.uk is just Euro Car Parts, but with a limited range and usually some decent discounts. Saved a small fortune when I bought a few Yuasa batteries for buses last year.

Where’s everyone’s go to for car Batteries? 🪫
The X5 most definitely needs a new one, it turns out not only has it got an AGM start/stop battery installed when it shouldn’t have it’s also never been coded nor registered to the car. Battery is 100% at least a few years old but I think it’s been fitted in a panic before I came down to get it 🙄
Absolutely no way the previous owner didn’t have issues.
I usually use Tayna Batteries but there are a few options out there, ideally want to get one tomorrow/Wednesday.
Interested to know if I’m missing any good deals in 🇬🇧 ?
Need ideally 95+ Ah and 850+ CCA with L:353mm W:175mm H:190mm.

@JamesLArnott I went posh and got a mk7 Golf GTI. I now have a mk8 GTI and it’s … shite. VW have spent many many £ on warranty claims on it, and I’m about to go back to them again for another steering wheel because of errors flashing up randomly, again 😥
English

@DanEunson I’ve had a Renault and a Peugeot, and then turned into a right snob and went German 🤣🤣
English

@JamesLArnott Needless to say, my first 2 cars were Renaults, and I’m seriously thinking about ditching my Golf for the new 5
English

@JamesLArnott There was nothing sport about ours, but it had 13 inch alloys and a wee spoiler on the boot. That and the softest grey and black ‘optional’ seats.
English

@DanEunson My parents had a P reg Laguna sport 🤣🤣loved that car so much!
English

@JamesLArnott With any luck, it’ll have been the same utterly breathless, but dependable, 2.2D that was in my parent’s N reg Laguna. The car was no race winner, but that was genuinely the most comfortable car I’ve ever travelled in.
English

@DanEunson Loved the Espace! It was a red N reg diesel and it had a sunroof in the back as well! 🤣
English

@modernheroestv We have some 23 plate eBerlingos at work that aren’t a kick up the bum away from 100k miles now. 7kW max charge rate most of the time, too. They seem to be alright.
English

@edintravel @SGNgas Been told that the TTLs are slightly north of the McDonald Road junction, between the two pedestrian crossings (which are both off). So just 2-way rather than 3-way. Didn't seem to be causing any major issues.

Temporary lights are now in place due to emergency @SGNgas work.

@AutoInfatuation Beautiful design. The choice of car for many Government cars, and the top brass in Bond movies too, which just makes them that little bit more desirable. There’s just something about them that sets them apart. I have a colleague who has an XJ-L and can’t look past it.

The temptation is strong to have one of the final Jaguar XJL’s (in Autobiography Trim) before they become too old or leggy to do my job in, even if it’s only for a short time. Such pretty cars and I’ve never personally owned a Jaaaaaaaaaag 😼

@ThompsonCJ91 Pleasingly, it’s one I have driven on service 22, when it was still a pink top!

Nice bit of overtime today covering an afternoon school run for
#teamYPB.
Bus as always, is clean and tidy and ready to go as they should be. (A nice b9 as the allocator knows it my favourite 🤩).
If you want to drive this bus, you know what to do…

English

@cleanforthewknd That’s useful to know. Tyre reviews online are almost always conducted on a test track, at speed. 90% of a normal person’s driving isn’t that, so some ‘real world’ thoughts are useful. Better in the wet - I’ll need that, living in Edinburgh.
English

@DanEunson According to the fitter yesterday and a bit of the Internet , the 5s are the better all rounder. The 4s may wear slightly better and maybe better for track and road use. The 5s not good on track. However, are a better tyre for the wet
English

@theturbochimp It’s always good to get out and help keep the wheels turning.
