Today, we’re saying goodbye to Chuck Norris. Chuck came into this world as Carlos Ray Norris in 1940, right in the middle of Oklahoma. Money was tight growing up. He signed up for the Air Force as soon as he could, learned martial arts while stationed in Korea, and returned home ready to make his mark the hard way. He fought in tournaments, won titles, and started teaching others. Then came the movies. He starred in pictures like Missing in Action and The Delta Force, where he played the kind of hero who solved problems with his fists and a determined look. Later, he became Walker, Texas Ranger on television, and families across the country made it a Friday night tradition. The internet eventually turned him into something else entirely with those Chuck Norris jokes. “When the Boogeyman goes to sleep, he checks his closet for Chuck Norris.” He heard every one of them and took it with a grin. That part of his fame probably surprised him more than anything. He built a family, deepened his Christian faith, wrote a few books, and spent time supporting causes he believed in. He lived a long life on his own terms. Chuck, thanks for the action, the laughs, and for showing us what stubborn toughness looks like. You can rest now. We’ve got it from here.

@MissyBBBobtail The one time (recently) we were all in a tiny bathroom, our cat came and looked at us. We tried to get him to come in with us, but he sat right outside the door. Thankfully, the actual track went about 5 miles east of us - still the closest I've been.

Tornado risk here tomorrow. All 8 emergency bags packed. All cat carriers ready and the basement is set up for the whole crew. Paws crossed that we stay in a quiet, calm zone. Jinx is wholly unbothered. 🌪️🌪️🌪️
