James Gunn says he almost cut the scene of Superman saving a squirrel from the film because test screening audiences didn’t like it: “We showed it to test audiences and some people did not like the squirrel. They’re like, ‘Why the fuck is he saving a squirrel? Why is he taking time out, saving a squirrel?’ There was a cut where I cut it out and I’m like, ‘I really miss the squirrel. @DanLiles78 No problem, your work is wonderful. Many of my animation frames were used in the photo reconstructions of Wheel on iPlayer, so the images are occasionally mistaken for original tele-snaps, which I take as a compliment.
