@DreyfusJames When you go into a RTD drama you know it's going to be as subtle as sledgehammer. He really gets his point across. Good for this kind of drama, bad for supposedly mainstream stuff like Doctor Who.

I haven’t seen Tiptoe. Is one supposed to sympathise with Cumming’s character here, where R.T. Davies, effectively, makes him say “It’s all your fault…you made us announce our pronouns”? Or are we meant to choke with ribald laughter at his genuinely ludicrous argument…?

@zatzi I remember back in the day it was a catalogue only thing. My teen sisters and their friends loved it. I remember the stink of chemical strawberry and chocolate filling the house.

I’m fascinated by how Lush survives. They pump high streets with the most repellent and obnoxious smells that make passersby sneeze and feel sick. The one bath bomb I was once given made the bath look like it was filled with urine from a dehydrated camel (photo). It smelt as bad too. On top of the vile smell and unappealing aesthetics the company has very divisive and overtly biased politics. How is that a successful business model?

Paedo who raped me is being freed early by Labour to reduce prison over crowding it is outrageous says fuming victim Simon Tyler was jailed for nine years in November 2024 for raping a girl aged 14 and was found with a to do list of women he wanted to attack with her name at the top. The Ministry of Justice has told the victim that under the new Sentencing Act his earliest release date has been cut from 67 per cent to 50 per cent of his term making him likely to be freed in 2028 instead of eligible for parole in 2030. The victim said the letter was an absolute kick in the teeth I am terrified about him getting out it is an insult. Her mother called it absolutely horrific news saying it took her daughter 15 years to get to the point of him being jailed and he is a dangerous predator who targeted her when she was 14. The mother added the Justice Secretary needs to speak to victims about this and they should create more capacity rather than letting out absolute monsters. Just wow...
