@CordasFilip @mjovanovictech Why not add a tax on the banks that loans money with stock collateral?
Or the loaned amount itself, after a given threshold?
Or a combination of both.
Taxing unrealized gains is retarded beyond satire.
Don't get me wrong, hope it works out, somehow... but it wont.
English

@mjovanovictech There is a real problem of abuse of 'unrealized' gains where stocks are used as cash equivalents to avoid taxes. People will just take a loan on the stocks to avoid taxes.
English

This has to be a joke, right? Right...?
Taxing unrealized gains is insane
Jelle@CryptoJelleNL
Sad day in NL, the Dutch government is expected to pass a bill introducing a 36% tax on unrealized capital gains. This will destroy long-term strategies, kill compounding effects & trigger a wealth exodus of biblical proportions. But they'll pass it anyway. Can't fix stupid.

California squirrels are eating animals in broad daylight.
In California’s Briones Regional Park, researchers observed that ground squirrels, typically known for eating nuts and seeds, are now hunting, killing, and consuming small animals.

@overglobe @RichardHanania I have a credible source that you are a retard, and people should avoid you.
Btw, I'm a journalist, don't pressure me for evidence. I can't reveal my source "cuz thats like showing receipts" and retards don't like that.
English

From your screenshots and explanation, you're the one who needs to listen.
He said he knows someone that bought weapons from Ukraine.
That should be good enough, if you were a true journalistic colleague.
Why push him for receipts? You want him to reveal a source so that you can publicize it?
You went into this with your mind already made up. You had a chance to learn something and you didn't. You should apologize. 💯
English

Tucker Carlson was unhappy that I pointed out he was spreading false information that came from Russian propaganda about Ukrainian weapons being sold on the Internet.
He reached out saying I was wrong, and I asked him for evidence so I could offer a correction. You can see that it didn’t go well.
I don’t usually share private conversations but there’s news value here and plus he texted me out of the blue. I don’t feel like we are “friends” anymore so the implicit obligation to keep things private is gone.
People sit there wondering what makes people share false information all the time. My experience is that if you point out that they’re wrong about something, they consider you a traitor. I am grateful to people who tell me when I get something wrong because I am privileged enough to give my opinions for a living, the least I can do is try to get my facts straight. I’m not 100% sure about the psychological characteristics of people who behave differently but I know I’m deeply repulsed by this way of going through life.
I can get along with people with widely different values as long as they care about what’s true and what’s false. People who don’t make that distinction I find it hard to maintain relationships with.
Needless to say, that means I used to talk to Tucker a lot more than I do now. But there was a point when he was always affable when we chatted, and no one would be happier than me if he started to provide more accurate information to his audience.

@Wyckoff_ape1 @Starkeaw @Martyupnorth_2 What does Trump propose, that Canada could do, that would lead to less opioids to get in the US via Canada?
English

@Wyckoff_ape1 @Starkeaw @Martyupnorth_2 1. The fuck is my kind?
2. What assumptions?
The tarifs are too harsh for Canada. And it looks insane from a outsider perspective.
What do you expect from Canada to do to not get hit by this shit show?
I have a character limit m8, I don't have time to format this shit. Chill

Trudeau is actually spot on during this portion of his press conference.
“Geography has made us neighbors. History has made us friends. Economics has made us partners. And necessity has made us allies. Those whom nature hath so joined together, let no man put asunder.” JFK
I do find Trump's decision to impose tariffs on us "irrational"
All his reasons are easily refuted.
Trade imbalance/subsidies: Their economy is 12x bigger than ours. We'll never buy as much from them and they do from us.
Border security/drugs: We can easily work on this. And what about all the guns that you let into our country?
Defence spending: 2% of GDP is just a number. We've always been there when you've asked us.
This trade war will hurt our two countries. For what?
English

@Wyckoff_ape1 @Starkeaw @Martyupnorth_2 Sounds like something you would do after everything else failed.
Trump did not even talk with Trudeau.
Are Mexico and Canada equally at fault for the issue? - 25%
Is China not the bigger villain here? - 10%
To me it's as if you are indoctrinated in a cult. You can't see it.
English

@DanPatiu @Starkeaw @Martyupnorth_2 If neither nation wished to recieve tariffs on imported goods, they could have chosen to address the issues of illegal border crossings and/or fentanyl importations.
Instead all nations chose to place reciprocal tariffs.
Why?
Actions speak where words fail.

@anton_t0shik 2 or 1, if the fn overflows max width (else 3), it has to be done automatically at save.
Best readability experience I've had until now, #4 is insanity.
Its good because it usually matches the way you call the function, making it easier to figure out which thing goes where.
