I’m about to do a thread about @AJWhiteAuthor’s debut novel, HELL FOLLOWED WITH US, so buckle in for a lot of feelings TL;DR: this book is amazing, it’s everything I wanted and needed and hoped it would be, it’s queer as in “fuck you,” and you should read it

@AJWhiteAuthor did something really special with this book. The writing, the characters, the story, the imagery, and the deep understanding queerness and of how the Bible can be twisted into something evil and unrecognizable. All of it is masterful, and you need to read it.

This book also came out as my Christian alma mater is embroiled in protests against their anti-LGBTQ policies. I’m so proud of the current students fighting against the idea that god hates them. I’m going to bring this book while I join them in this fight. twitter.com/reap_lgbtq/sta…
