Beneath Grand Central Terminal on the lower concourse, there is a windowless 440-seat oyster and seafood bar that has served customers since the terminal opened in 1913. Aside from brief closures caused by a 1997 fire and the COVID-19 pandemic, it has operated continuously ever since.

RBA may smash Australians with higher rates through an outdated mechanism to put you out of work, in attempt to bring down inflation caused by boomer spending which is outside of their purview, and Trumps Iran war and subsequent energy shock!

New figures from the Australian Bureau of Statistics show that inflation ticked up as expected in the month of March largely because of global pressures. These numbers show Australians are paying a hefty price for war in the Middle East. These are the costs and consequences of a conflict on the other side of the world. It’s another reminder that from an economic point of view, an enduring end to the war can’t come soon enough.

Hi brains trust. can any Victorians with a driver's licence explain to me like I am 5 years old where on Earth the card number is? I have to quote both the license no (which I have), and the card number. I'm told top rh corner on the back, but there's nothing there.

We have a proud history of building Bushmasters in Bendigo. And today we locked in their future in Victoria - with the Albanese Labor Government placing the biggest order of these vehicles since 1999. This means defence manufacturing remains in Bendigo for the next 7 years. Supporting 300 local jobs and a stronger defence capability. @ThalesAustralia

"Still dodging the question, genius? VicRoads is a joint venture between the Victorian Labor Government and a private consortium. Private companies don’t hand over 20% less income out of the goodness of their hearts... so who pays them the top-up? Taxpayers? Or is ‘shit for brains’ and clown emojis still the best you’ve got?"

Imagine if the government said “we’re doing a cash handout for cost of living, but households without cars get nothing, and households with more than one car get more”. People would think it was bizarre. But that’s exactly what this is!
Jacinta Allan@JacintaAllanMP

We’re taking 20% off rego to help Victorians deal with the cost of living. Like cheaper public transport, this won’t fix everything, but it’s immediate action I can take to make a difference.

I remember the first time I heard Welcome To Country I had been overseas for months. It was like “what’s this?” And yes it seemed performative and tokenistic first time. But it hurts NO-ONE and is generous and inclusive. How can you hate something that is intended to be nice?
