I have no issues with Zack Polanski at 45 living in a 5 person house share, or never having a substantial career or business - that’s fine, but when you want to run the 5th largest economy in the world it’s a NO NO…. … and for those saying he represents what people are going through - no he does not. There are many people from lower socioeconomic backgrounds who are 45, from London who run business, bought properties, understand economics and have successful careers, so let’s stop this nonsense. He could have absolutely done better in life. I want someone brokering trade deals who the country can look up to…. Who screams success and growth, not a sketchy boob hypnotist/part time carer living like a student. He’s an absolute joke man when we are discussing running this country.

WTAF is going on? This is beyond belief. To lie about voting but then avoid registering in order presumably to insulate oneself from council tax or false residency allegations. These were not mistakes but calculated decisions, which require explanation.

Why is it so hard to consider genuine voter enthusiasm as a key reason Israel could win? Eurovision has always featured voting patterns whether through advertising campaigns or diaspora support. This isn't unique to Israel. Take Malta as a clear example. They're running a huge campaign in the UK with massive billboards explicitly telling people to use their full votes for "Aidan" along with promo tours and dedicated websites. Other nations run similar campaigns. Furthermore, Israel has delivered some of the strongest and well-performed entries in recent years. That clearly resonates with a lot of the public and ultimately, voters support what they like.

The real reason @rte blocked the Irish from listening to this lovely guy is because they were terrified they'd give him 12 points (last year they gave Israel 10). They're repressing the Irish population.

They spent months trying to get Israel banned from Eurovision. The crowd booed. He performed anyway. Then they cheered. Offstage, Noam said he looked for Israeli flags in the crowd. Funny how our Eurovision contestants have become more effective ambassadors than our current government. More representative of actual Israelis, too. We're proud of you. Good luck in the final!!

I fear Labour will now lurch further left with either Rayner, Miliband or Burnham (and the Starmer government hasn’t exactly been right wing Labour, to put it mildly), and that will be a catastrophe. Higher tax, more statism, and more wokeisms, all of which are gifts to Reform.
