Me when people who’ve spent years boasting about not paying any UK taxes say they want the British embassy to help evacuate them from Dubai.

I’m amazed Michelle Mone hasn’t quickly set up an air conditioning business using faulty hair dryers.

@ChrisFu45221300 Yes, I have worked with people who had it. I’d prefer that to people being killed.

@bmay Do you have any idea about the round the clock security means? Do you know how many people are required to protect one person for 24 hours?

Sadly I think the way the world is now we do need to provide proper round the clock security for MPs, along with high profile former politicians of all persuasions. The polarisation of our politics and the depravity of some viewpoints, fuelled by social media, makes it necessary.

Pity these people went mad, they were good on Brexit and other things.

This is deeply unprofessional. A lot of families have been badly affected by the closure of multiple independent schools, many of whom had SEND children on bursaries.

Thanks to everyone who has been in touch in recent weeks, seems I'm not the only 'spiteful class warrior' out there – here's my new T-shirt haul. I spoke to @TheNewsAgents about why I wear the Tories' jibe with pride. You can listen to that here: globalplayer.com/podcasts/42KuV….

‘Environmental activist’ here, as always, damaging the environmental cause beyond measure by failing to read the room whilst finding herself unable to disentangle her personal political views from the objectively horrific murder of an elderly woman. Grim.

It’s not unique to @amnesty of course. Many NGOs, including some in the development/green sectors have fallen down the rabbit warren of this kind of pious, hectoring, patronising, middle class stupidity. It erodes both their credibility and influence, damaging their cause.

Amnesty’s response appears to be frantically adding that of course women also have rights, as if this afterthought only occurred to them because of the wave of fury, sadness and threatened litigation their report unleashed. There’s something very wrong at the core of the charity.

BBC refers to Heather Herbert, a trans-identified man, as "she." By attributing this behavor to a woman, the BBC does a disservice to women and to the public, and once again makes it clear that ideology trumps news. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

We don't do this kind of debating any more. It's a shame really. Everything is so sanitised.

Ann Widdecombe on the abject barbarism of blood sports and why they don’t belong in modern Britain. I’d forgotten this. Superb.

Amnesty International have probably done the cause of gender sanity and actual women’s rights a lot of good, even though it is an entirely unintentional consequence of their crass stupidity, intellectual laziness and spiteful malevolence.

Insufferable. It’s about to get a lot worse too. Most people will react badly to this, and they’ll be annihilated in an election. The extreme right doesn’t have a monopoly on divisive, spiteful politics, sadly. Grim.
