A lot of families have been badly affected by the closure of multiple independent schools, many of whom had SEND children on bursaries.

It’s not unique to @amnesty of course. Many NGOs, including some in the development/green sectors have fallen down the rabbit warren of this kind of pious, hectoring, patronising, middle class stupidity. It erodes both their credibility and influence, damaging their cause.

BBC refers to Heather Herbert, a trans-identified man, as "she." By attributing this behavor to a woman, the BBC does a disservice to women and to the public, and once again makes it clear that ideology trumps news.
