I used to know what a flagrant foul in basketball was and a pass interference in football. Those days are gone. #bbn

I keep waiting on someone to say Notre Dame could beat either of these teams… @finebaum

@ClintRLamb Any BAMA fan who would not celebrate Ty's return simply does not understand what he accomplished this season and how much he helped hide deficiencies.

I’m still *way* higher on Ty than a lot of the fanbase. Don’t think people appreciate just how good he was for a good chunk of the season, and how injuries could’ve derailed that. If he goes elsewhere, I’m almost certain he’s going to ball. You’re essentially giving a team (and maybe a rival) a Day 1 talent at QB who now has a starting year’s worth of experience in the SEC (with 40% of his career starts vs. playoff contenders). I’m also really high on Keelon Russell. Ceiling is way up there, he just isn’t a sure thing right now. If Ty declares and you move on to Russell, then Russell failing (which I don’t see happening btw) doesn’t sting as much. If Ty transfers (and balls) and Russell fails, it could be one of the biggest blunders in program history. On the flip side, if Ty returns (and doesn’t continue to improve), Keelon transfers and Keelon ends up goated, it will also make you sick. A lot of unknowns here, which makes it difficult to say which route is best. People will feel differently about it, and I think that’s OK. The safest bet is Ty because we’ve *seen* him perform at an extremely high level on this level. That being said, letting Ty walk makes you sick for a year; letting Keelon walk could make you sick for 2-3 years. Personally, it’s too much of a toss up for me to lean one direction or another. Ideally, Keelon is willing to sit for another year and Ty returns, but that might be too “pie in the sky.” Because I can’t definitively say which is the better route to take, I’m fine with either scenario — but both scenarios will also make me sick — if that makes sense. It’s an interesting dilemma/choice to make.

@ClintRLamb Would you rather run it back with Ty or move on to the Mack/Russell battle this spring? I get why fans don’t want their QB to go to a rival but I figured we were all ready to see one of those kids take the helm

Congratulations to Indiana for winning the Rose Bowl. If Alabama is going to lose, I can accept losing to an undefeated, number one team in the nation with the Heisman winner, a well-coached squad, and a team that plays with exceptional discipline. 😊

He was truly a gentleman’s gentleman, and I loved listening to his stories about the early days of Alabama football, especially that unforgettable trip to the Rose Bowl. Roll Tide! #RollTide

critics said Alabama didn’t belong on the same field with Washington. Mr. Nesbit would tell me stories of that trip west, of a young Bear Bryant playing, meeting the famous Pat O’Brien, being wide-eyed on the West Coast, and hearing all the doubters who said they didn’t belong.

As I’m waiting for the Rose Bowl game, I’m reminded of a special memory from my college years. I once worked for James Nesbit, who played in the 1926 Rose Bowl when Alabama defeated Washington 20–19 to cap the 1925 season. At the time, Southern football was considered “soft,” and

@markingramII @MattLeinartQB I am old enough to remember the pattern, if the SEC does well in the bowls, the national media will say, “Bowls don’t matter.” But if SEC doesn’t do well, then the line is “SEC is overrated.” 🙄

This Notre Dame team would have changed history by giving the 1972 Miami Dolphins their only loss! No doubt about it!
