My brother, my voice was used by Kagame to end war in Congo last year, to promote Ethiopia and fight GMOs in Nigeria. My agenda is not to fight my leaders or captains of industry, but to build brand Zimbabwe as I have done for years. However, it becomes difficult to promote a leadership that pays white Americans $4 million for failing to remove sanctions, but they won’t pay a Zimbabwean and one of the finest communicators in Africa, for successfully removing sanctions and rebranding Zimbabwe. Nevertheless, I have taken heed of your advice and will begin to focus on advancing brand Zimbabwe. I will begin with the below documentary of Manhize that I was holding.

IGNORE THE MISCHIEF..,I have noted with deep concern the Daily News front-page story titled, “This engineered pact is hopeless,” which appears to allege that I have dismissed the efforts of others to advance the struggle for a better Zimbabwe in a manner they consider appropriate. Regrettably, the story is misleading, is a work of editorial fiction, and is intended to inflict injury. It is a fundamental principle of journalism that reporters should report the news, not manufacture it. When editorial standards are compromised in this way, public trust and our freedoms are put at risk. I remain fully committed to representing the interests of the citizens of Zimbabwe and to advancing the struggle for a better country. In due course, I will be rolling out a plan aimed at achieving that goal. Any attempts to distract us from this objective will not succeed. Thank you for your consideration of my take. A New Great Zimbabwe in our lifetime. The citizens shall govern!

Comrade, I know you are doing your job, but you know that you and I worked very closely on these issues of sanctions, so of all people you know the work that I did, for you to try to discredit me. You also know that you were able to take credit for pitching the Patriotic Act which you got from a proposal I wrote for you. Secondly, ZDERA is not a sanction, but an Act used by the U.S. Congress to ask for the U.S. President to impose executive order sanctions on Zimbabwe, which were removed by Biden on the 4th of March 2024, after I got the U.S. Congress to carry out a human rights impact assessment (HRIA) on their sanctions on 25 May 2021. That HRIA generated a report in 2022 which recommended that Biden remove the sanctions that the same Congress had previously asked for in 2001 through ZDERA. Those sanctions were also removed four days after we (ZASM) had responded to Biden’s submissions in the South African court, challenging his revocation of immunity, citing the fact that precedent had already been set by AfriForum successfully challenging and revoking Grace Mugabe’s immunity after the assault of the young woman. With the removal of the executive order sanctions on the 4th of March 2024, ZDERA was effectively fulfilled and made redundant in line with ZDERA S494 Section 6(4), which states that the U.S. President must provide for the eventual removal or amendment of the sanctions. So by removing the executive order sanctions on Zimbabwe and cancelling the three national emergencies (EO13291, EO13391 and EO13469) on Zimbabwe on the 4th of March in 2024, ZDERA was fulfilled and redundant, hence Congress is now reviewing the repeal of ZDERA. Now, I know that my work has made many government officials uncomfortable because:
(i) As a civilian, I succeeded in doing things that government officials had failed to do for 24 years.
(ii) The President got to recognize me and grew so confident in me, that he funded me to take the Americans to court instead of using government officials. This has made many feel threatened, but what I do not understand is why they feel threatened when my work was done for the nation and the benefit of government. On the issue of why the President is still under Magnitsky sanctions, the reality is that he is not under the old executive order sanctions because those were removed. Magnitsky sanctions were imposed afterwards because, according to the Americans, the President was involved in the smuggling of diamonds and gold, which is still continuing today. Secondly, they accused him of human rights abuses following the shooting of protestors after the 2018 elections. Additionally, the President was sanctioned after government claimed that it was re-engaging the Americans and the West, which clearly demonstrates that re-engagement failed while our legal fight against sanctions on civilians succeeded. So, it’s is clear that I did my job and removed executive order sanctions, even Wicknell confirms that, but the President’s own actions resulted in his Magnitsky designation. What is worse is that we advised the President to use David Sayed, one of the best lawyers at Dentons (the biggest law firm in the world), to challenge his Magnitsky designation by writing to OFAC with evidence disputing allegations of corruption and human rights abuses, but the President’s people declined. So why should the President pretend that sanctions on him are affecting the nation when he is unwilling to challenge them legally? Lastly, Zimbabwe is not being denied multilateral loans because of ZDERA. Zimbabwe started being denied multilateral loans in November 1999, two years before ZDERA, because of failure to adhere to the conditions of ESAP. Therefore, ZDERA is not what caused Zimbabwe to be denied multilateral loans or debt restructuring. It was Zimbabwe’s failure to meet ESAP conditions and to repay its debts. Which bank can continue lending money to you when you are not repaying your loans?

SANCTIONS: MISPLACED VAINGLORY Enough of the false victories and empty boasts. Some of you walk around claiming sole responsibility for getting sanctions removed against Zimbabwe. Let's set the record straight with a simple fact check. · Is ZIDERA (Zimbabwe Democracy and Economic Recovery Act) still a U.S. law targeting Zimbabwe? Yes. · Is the Global Magnitsky Act still actively enforced against Zimbabwean individuals and entities? Yes. · Is the President of Zimbabwe still on those Magnitsky sanctions? Yes. · Are U.S. directors at International Financial Institutions (IFIs) still legally obligated to vote against financing projects in Zimbabwe? Another yes. So where exactly are these "removed sanctions" you're taking credit for? Do you totally ignore the impact of SADC speaking with one voice on U.S. foreign policy, and think your legal histrionics alone shaped current U.S. policy on Zimbabwe? The architecture of punishment against Zimbabwe remains fully intact. Until ZIDERA is repealed, until every name is off Magnitsky, and until Washington stops blocking development finance, don't insult our intelligence with self-congratulatory lies. You didn't end anything—it's just a self-aggrandizing boast. Zimbabweans deserve truth, not trophy hunting. #ZimSanctionsMustGo

Hello Zimbabwe! The Airwaves Commander, General Eric Knight. A million times I have been asked, where did that title come from. I remember in Zimbabwe a few people actually contacted me advising me to change that ‘nickname’ as “General’ is annoying and has nothing to do with broadcasting! Let me try to explain once and for all. In the late 90s while I worked as a Radio and Television Producer/Presenter at the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (Not as a DJ as many people wrongly describe my role), there was War in the Democratic Republic of Congo ( DRC). It was during the reign of President Laurent Kabila before he was assassinated leading to his son Joseph Kabila taking over. Remember the bloody war was between well sponsored Rebels and the DRC Army.. Zimbabwe, ruled by the late Igwe Robert Mugabe was one of the countries that sent its troops to help a desperate brother Kabila. Remember thousands of Zimbabwe National Army soldiers went there to fight, literally staying there for years, leaving behind their families and relatives for a very long time. Typical of any war, some died, some got injured and some survived. So, to boost morale amongst soldiers who were in DRC and as a way of calming down panicky families who were concerned about their breadwinners, sons, daughters, husbands and relatives away at war, the ZNA approached the ZBC. They were requesting for Radio presenters to go to Congo to entertain the soldiers and to broadcast from there if possible, produce and present shout out programmes like Kwaziso Dzemauto/Ukubingelelana kwamabutho, musical request shows by soldiers and transmit messages to the beloved ones back home. As, expected, no ZBC presenters was willing to risk life to go and work in such a dangerous country, because that meant physically being in army camps and even in battlefields that could be attacked any time, day and night! In fact, the army bosses told the ZBC that the majority of soldiers in Congo had specifically requested me! Why me?? I asked. Only God knows. I told my bosses to give me a week to think about it. I decided to go, despite my parents and family’s furious disapproval. I told them not to worry but pray for my protection and promised I would come come back. I explained that I felt I should go and it was a national service. Coincidentally my eldest brother, the late Frank Lewis Knight went to fight the Liberation War in Mozambique in the 70s after being taken from Lower Gwelo mission as an O Level student much to the devastation of the Knight family. He returned in 1980 alive thankfully. My decision automatically triggered those memories, but on the other hand that galvanised me. So, in Congo I received a heroes welcome from thousands of soldiers. We left Harare in an Airforce plane and immediately I was told of the rules even if I was only a civilian. We departed from Manyame Air base (Formerly New Sarum), just behind the Robert Mugabe International Airport. I was immediately told I had to wear camouflage and never my clothes as I had to look like a soldier, otherwise I would be easily targeted and I would be vulnerable to being kidnapped or something! So, eventually I did accomplish the mission, managed to broadcast from the war zone Live and recorded for over a month. Families back in Zimbabwe were pleased and very grateful to hear their beloved ones greeting them on Radio 2, blessed assurances that they were alive! What more could I do for my beloved brothers who had sacrificed lives to fight not even for our own country. The soldiers declared, from today you shall be called ‘General’, a very high rank within the military. I really feel satisfied that at least I did something good for my country and will forever be proud of that privilege. In the process, I lived and made friends with soldiers of all ranks and files, Privates, Lance Corporals, Corporals, Sergeants, Staff Sergeants, Sergeant Majors, Warrant Officers, Lieutenants, Majors, Colonels,

I didn't want to comment much about this, but I am so fascinated by the remarks being made here. I have seen people making the same excuses for opposition lawyers who represent corrupt ZANU PF people in court, saying it's their job. Honestly, with this kind of thinking and behavior, we will have ZANU PF in power for quite some time. ZANU PF is an enemy of the people, and we should treat it as such. Malaba was one of the most instrumental people in prolonging ZANU PF’s stay in power; he wasn't professional and was evil. What is there to celebrate for a person like that? If this reasoning is sincere, then one of these days I want to see "Sisi" Fadzi representing Sengezo Tshabangu in court because it’s her profession. Let’s not perpetuate rubbish. Zimbabwe is not a normal democracy where people coexist despite their political differences. Zimbabwe is a war zone; you can't be seen dining with the same people you are fighting in the name of professionalism.
