Honoured to address delegates at the @RuralMA Conference and sit down with councilors from across rural Alberta. These communities are the backbone of our province, and there's no place like home.

Every Albertan is expected to pay their taxes, including oil and gas companies. Today, Minister @BrianJeanAB joined me and @RuralMA in releasing 17 recommendations developed with municipalities and industry to tackle unpaid taxes, protect rural communities, and hold companies accountable. The report is online now. rmalberta.com/wp-content/upl…

Alberta is leading Canada in employment growth, adding 85,000 jobs year-over-year, over nine times more than the next highest-growth province, which added 9,200 jobs during the same period. Our unemployment rate remains below the national average and has fallen more than two points in the past six months. These numbers show Alberta’s resilience and why it continues to be the best place to live, work, and raise a family.

I would like to thank mayor Farkas for his support and cooperation throughout this process. At the end of the day, it's all about transparency and accountability.

Thank you to Minister @DanWilliamsAB for your leadership and support during Calgary’s water emergency. I’ve written to confirm that I support the Province’s inspection of our water system. We’ll cooperate fully while continuing major investments to strengthen the Calgary region's infrastructure.

Alberta is the economic powerhouse of Canada. Over the last year we’ve added 85,000 jobs – more than nine times the number added by the next highest-growth province. Can you imagine what’s in store with the oil production cap and net zero power regulations finally gone. This is the Alberta advantage at work: hard working people, abundant resources, a strong private sector and a government focused on creating the conditions for success. We will keep fighting to make sure Alberta remains the best place in Canada to live, work and build a future.

Today I announced an official inspection into the City of Calgary regarding the repeated failures to deliver water to its citizens. Water infrastructure is a key service the city must deliver, and Calgarians deserve to know what went wrong. You can watch my announcement at the link below: youtube.com/watch?v=OLIfBL…

Southern Alberta is a powerhouse for agriculture, energy, and trade, and Budget 2026 reflects that strength. We are investing $76 million through the Local Government Fiscal Framework to support local infrastructure, strengthen essential services, and ensure communities have stable, predictable funding. Strong regions. Strong Alberta.

Northern communities are at the heart of our province and a powerful driver of Alberta’s economy. That’s why Budget 2026 is investing $108 million through LGFF to support the roads, bridges, water systems and core infrastructure families and businesses rely on. When the North succeeds, Alberta succeeds.

Incredible — a 90% reduction in overdoses, and the first time since 2017 that the South Zone has recorded zero opioid overdose deaths. For years, our government has taken a different approach to addiction. Safe supply was not the answer. Through compassionate intervention and real healthcare support, we will save more lives and bring family members home to their loved ones, drug-free. Why is it easier to buy cigarettes than it is to buy a smoking cessation product, like nicotine pouches? It doesn’t make sense. Let’s get rid of the red tape so that nicotine pouches can be sold the same as any other nicotine or tobacco product, helping more Albertans quit smoking. It’s just common sense.
Dale Nally@DaleNally_AB

It’s time to bring back common sense and for the federal government to take another look at their restrictions on nicotine pouches. Let’s cut the red tape and treat it the same as other products so we can bring sales back into the proper channels and away from illicit markets. See my joint letter with Premier Danielle Smith @ABDanielleSmith to Prime Minister Mark Carney below:

Earlier today, I had the opportunity to highlight the importance of the delivery of core services at the municipal level. Albertans deserve and demand that their governments, at all levels, make responsible investments into the services they are expected to deliver. Core services are the job, not a side project, not an afterthought. Roads, water, emergency services, and public safety must always come first. That’s the standard Albertans expect, and it’s the standard we are bound to uphold.
