There was literally a nationwide call to protest this January and millions poured into the streets answering Reza Pahlavi’s call. The regime had to cut off the internet so they could massacre people in the dark and hide that the majority is against them. “CIA planted the Shah”? That tells me everything. You probably think 1953 was a CIA-backed coup to install the Shah out of nowhere. This terrorist regime came into power under Jimmy Carter, who undermined the Shah (who was pushing real independence and resisting Western control over oil/gas) and helped greenlight the mullahs’ takeover. Resistance needs guns, ammo, and real supplies which America has mostly refused to provide. Only Israel was helping Iranian people by using drones to hit IRGC thugs in the streets until Trump stepped in and shut it down, saving the mullahs again.

Over 50% of colonial households already had guns. The French (without whom there wouldn’t have been any revolution) supplied ~90% of your gunpowder, officially declared war on Britain, pulled British navy and troops away to defend their own mainland and India, and at Yorktown the French made up HALF of Washington’s army. So spare me the “lazy Persians” talk when you expect my people to storm military-grade repression forces empty-handed while your revolution had guns, foreign allies, and massive material support.
